Longer than I thought
Ok, so........it's a wooden dowel sanded down and had the edges rounded. But what do you really need for a rolling pin?I wanted wood, easy to use and long enough to roll out pie crusts. This works. It is longer than I had thought, which is good. It is lightweight and sanded well.Cleaning? I was taught not to wash a rolling pin. scrape off any residue from rolling out pie crusts, dust it with flour and wipe down with a dry rag. Unless you are rolling something sticky or wet, it really does not need to be washed.

Not tapered.
Going back. I missed the prior review stating “you won’t get the item pictured”. Saw it get opened as a gift only to wonder what the deal was with this flat ended stick that I didn’t buy. I bought it for the “tapered ends” that is not only in the picture, but in the description as well. Why does Amazon allow this to continue?

This is a trimmed closet rod
This is literally just a dowel you could buy at Home Depot, cut to length. This does NOT have tapered ends like depicted, which was what I ordered for, and it isn't even sanded properly. Do not waste your money. I got another one for $13 that is amazing and exactly what I wanted, finished beautifully and weightier than this junk. Look for the pin with one end stamped with the brand name and you'll know you found a keeper.

Great basic rolling pin
I love my new rolling pin! It’s basic and does what i need it to do. It was also very inexpensive which is what i was looking for

So Many Uses!
Smooth, large rolling pin. It does not have handles but is so long that shouldn't be an issue. It serves the purpose of a rolling pin and is perfect for those larger things you need to flatten. Orrrrr if you can't locate a thick dowel, this makes a phenomenally cheap wood dowel! You can cut it down and use it as a handle on a handmade organizer you are making - and still have enough left to use as a long rolling pin. Just sayin'.

Not as described or pictured.
It's a fine rolling pin but it is not as pictured or described. It does not have beveled ends. What happened? Did you run out of the ones in the picture? I specifically ordered this because it was beveled on the ends. Why did I not receive what you pictured and described?

This is just a poorly-cut dowel rod
Go to your local hardware store, choose a dowel rod, and cut it down to the size you want. There. You have what will be sent to you. No tapered ends. No sanding. No sealing. Nothing fancy. Sucker! But if you don't live near a hardware store, then buy this.
