Fantastic Net, Poor Advertising
After reading feedback on multiple nets and multiple companies (of which Purity Pool did best and T and K did 2nd best), I decided to go with this one. We have an outdoor pool with huge 100 feet pine trees towering above our pool (so a lot of leaves and pine needles are always falling into the pool). It works wonderfully so far! It moves through the water easily and the net is so fine that it catches pine needles and little bugs too! The advertising (and lack of) would suggest it only catches larger objects like medium sized bugs and leaves. It is better than advertised. Also it dumps really easily since the net depth is reasonable while still maintaining a capacity far greater than what we need, though being in western Oregon we rarely see any storms.Purity Pool, especially, makes a lot of very high quality nets and doesn't give any reasons for why you would choose one net over another. For instance, they make a Gator 24-Inch net, which at first is tempting, but after seeing that the net wasn't very wide (only 16.2"), but instead deep I realized that you gain greater capacity and lose easy net emptying as the net could easily get tangled as you dump it out. Furthermore it is heavier (27 ounces instead of 10 ounces) and is 1 inch less wide (16.2" vs. 17.2"). So if you just happen to live in an area that has storms all the time, while owning your own pool, the gator net is probably better.A really good net of Purity Pool's is the Pelican Pro 18-Inch. We were extremely tempted by this net. It is 18.5" wide (rather than 17.2) and only weighs 16 ounces (ours is a little lighter at 10 ounces). We would have bought this, but the Pelican Featherweight 16-Inch went on sale for under $30 and our pine needles tend to stay together in groups anyway (probably because of our pool skimmer). Both the Pelican Pro 18-Inch and Pelican Featherweight 16-Inch are not extremely large in depth (16" vs. 16.8" respectively), so the Pelican Pro 18-inch is probably just as easy to dump.Purity Pool makes fine nets, but should advertise each one's abilities better. We bought the Featherweight 16-Inch silt model as well because we were unsure if the leaf model would get all the small pine needles and small bugs. As expected it produces a lot of drag and resistance, but it was inexpensive and should make a good backup net.It would be nice if Purity Pool offered a lifetime warranty as T and K does (T and K website claims they give a lifetime warranty on all their nets), but Purity Pool's nets feel like they will have a long life anyway, they are built much easier to dump (due partly to T and K's pivoting lip edge), they weigh less, and on average they make larger more realistically sized nets. T and K, on the other hand, offers more competitive pricing and a steel frame (even stronger than high quality plastic, but also adds weight). If you have only a hot tub then I would go with a T and K net as they tend to be smaller and less expensive. Otherwise Purity Pool nets overall are the best you can buy. Also for those of you wondering what polls this will work for, it has a diameter slightly smaller than 1.2", and the impression I got from reading about nets in general, is it works with any standard poll, including ours which we've had for decades. The net fits inside a poll and has little raised black bumps (look at picture) that fit into the holes that polls have.

Amazing quality, gets every spec!
We had an old rake that was broken and was ready to be replaced. I found this and wasn't sure if it would fit our stick but it fit perfectly! I started raking the leaves out of our pool right away and it just works so wonderfully. It picks up every tiny spec and the mesh is extremely high quality. My family is obsessed and so happy I bought it.

The one that works
My old one got hole in the nets after about 3 years of use. I tried to save some money by buying a cheaper one. Bad idea. The cheaper rake could not pick up leaves from the bottom of the pool. This rake works perfectly, saves time and keeps my husband happy so that he rakes the pool instead of me! Worth the extra bucks!!

Easy Homeowner Use
This rake has a very lightweight net. It will not last a lifetime, but my first purchase of this rake lasted 6 years. The net does not release debris when changing direction: stiffer nets I've used were harder to move through the water and sometimes the debris would float out of the net when stopping forward movement or changing direction. If i need to purchase this again in 5 or 6 years: worth it.

cannot recommend latest version
Purity makes quality products but the net on this one failed in less than 4 months of use. Not sure if they changed netting material or I got a bad batch, but the net developed holes very quickly. I have some different sized nets that are several years old and still going strong, but this one did not make it to the first year anniversary. very disappointed because it was not a cheap net. could have bought several bargain brands for the price

Great for leaves
Great for leaves on the surface. Can get a lot at once. Also great for leaves on the bottom. I just push a little water towards the leaves with the net along the bottom and it fluffs up the leaves for ez scooping.

Lasted 6 years with lots of use in hot Arizona sun
I purchased this in July of 2013 and I finally have to order a new one. After about four years I had to do a little repair around the edge with duct tape. Now the net has a large tear. I use it mostly for skimming the surface but also some for stuff on the bottom of the pool. We have lots of desert space trees that cause a lot of material to be blown into the pool. Most of the leaves are very tiny. Storage is on a rack in the full sun in sunny Arizona, so I was really amazed when I checked my past orders and saw that the purchase was just over six years ago.
