Great for doggo’s eye boogers
I primarily use this comb for removing my pup’s eye boogers. They’re really effective for that as well as for fleas and ticks.

My newly adopted semi-longhaired cats love this comb!
I adopted a couple of semi-longhaired cats a week ago. They had been at a rescue for a while and after a long road trip to me, were very scared. On the second day, one of them came close enough for a light pet and loved it. I then started petting him gently with this comb wherever on his body he would let me. He is now addicted to both petting and combing and rolls over on his back so I will comb his belly. (The hand gets gentle bunny kicks but he lays completely still when it's the comb!) The other cat took longer, but I used the comb to gently pet him as he skittered by, and he immediately turned around and came back for more. Both are now addicted to petting and combing. It's only been a week and I think this comb has helped them come out of their shells and helped us bond.

We do like the product otherwise
It is very effective on ticks. Even nymphs. We live in the country where ticks are prevalent. Our corgi who loves running around in the woods has brought back a fair share of ticks which require us combing him constantly. His hair is medium length and the teeth keep bending. This would suggest to me that the comb (which is plastic) is meant for a pet whose hair is very short. We do like the product otherwise.

$1.00 flea comb
These exact same Safari brand combs cost $1.00, or rarely as much as $2.00 at many pet supply stores and online. The same type of comb (without the hole, usually) can be purchased at almost any pet supply store or vet's office or groomer for under $2.00. I get my Safsti brand flea combs for a buck apiece at my local high end pet boutique. They are great DISPOSABLE combs. Those fine teeth are really good for catching fleas (and hair) but they bend and break easily. They simply don't hold up long enough to be worth $9.00. Seller is ripping you off. Just ""google" "plastic flea comb" and save yourself $7 or $8.

Great product, works great.
I was thrilled to find this on Amazon.. This is a fantastic product.I put a drop of liquid soap in a mug of hot water. After each swipe of the comb, I dip the comb in the water. Fleas do not suffer.

So useful
I have a maltipoo that as is so common has tears stains. He is a therapy dog for my clients and needs to be clean and presentable for them. This comb was recommended to me for keeping the hair beneath his eyes clear from clumpy build up. It does the job. I have several of them so there will always be one nearby and I use them throughout the day.
