Great toy for car lovers when you don't want to pick up tracks every day...
I bought this for my son and I was a bit skeptical. I thought it wouldn't stick too well to the wall or it would be a bigger pain in the rump to assemble then how it looks on tv...however, I was wrong. This product was awesome for my 4 year old. He is huge into cars and has a couple race tracks that go on the floor. This can be inconvenient when company comes over, or when the dogs go running through his room, or when I try to help him with stuff in his room because they are big and on the ground where you trip on them or break them by stepping on them. This product resolved all of those issues. The track mounts to the wall with the 3M sticky foam pieces and there is a template for where exatly to put the sticky pieces. Once the pieces are stuck to the wall (the wall brackets) you just set the track on it and voila it's setup! The best part is, it is on the wall so there is no more tripping over the track on the ground. My son loves it and we have had his uncles buy him 2 more add on pieces for it where were just as easy to attach. Great product for any car lover with a wall space free to put it up. Also, I originally put the track up too high for my 4 year old to reach and the sticky foam that 3M makes was super easy to pull off. I ran to the store and bought a wall hanger set ($4.99) that came with 5 more sticky foam pieces and rehung the track a little lower...simple as that. Definitely recommend.

Addition to existing tracks questionable
A very good quality item that challenges eye-hand coordination to beat the beast! The twisting "elevator" brings cars to the top where they can race down and try to avoid being "ate" by the car crusher beast. Two different tracks to choose from to send the car. A little noisy due to the motor and connection to other tracks is questionable as to whether the cars can go from one track to another. Recommend more detailed instructions from manufacturer on how to combine existing tracks to it and still be useful.

Kids love it!
Despite the mixed reviews I bought this for my son anyway and am glad that I did. I put it together and had it hung on the wall within 10 minutes. The tracks fit together perfectly and the 3m strips hold the unit securely on the wall. In fact, if my son pulls too hard on the track, the mounts snap apart as designed. A simple push puts it back securely together.I'm beginning to think that the negative reviewers have failed to properly follow the directions. As far as I'm concerned it is a well built and fun track for children.Be sure to use genuine Hot Wheels cars or the set may not function as intended. My wife is constantly buying cheap Chinese knock-offs to save a buck but they just cause frustration for my son. Most real Hot Wheels cars will work brilliantly with this set.Battery life is reasonable. I haven't measured the run-time but they seem to last a couple weeks when used here and there.I love the fact that it hangs on the wall. It's one less toy that needs to be picked up every day - this is huge if you don't have a dedicated playroom for your kids.I will be purchasing the rest of the wall-mount tracks to complete the set.Ignore the poor reviews! This is an excellent toy for the price!

When it arrived, the motor was not working so the spiral car lift wouldn't spin. But before we fixed it I was able to spin the spiral to get the cars to move. Dad opened the motor and he was able to fix it. There is a screw that is supposed to hold the motor into the spiral but the screw wasn't doing the job. I decided to give it five stars because once we got it fixed I was able to play with it. It's awesome. (Isaac, age 6)

Gravity wins for a while!
The product was exactly what our eight-year-old grandson wanted for Christmas. The product arrived quickly, even with the Christmas shipping volume. The trackset was easy to assemble and use. Once the batteries were installed, what a hit! However, after one day of use, the pieces fell down from the wall. The adhesive used to attach to the wall was not sufficient for use once the battery was installed. The added weight probably did not help the set out. Once new adhesive strips were added, this worked well. Great idea. Reviews we had read before buying had stated this problem, so we were not surprised when it happened. Maybe Mattell should improve the adhesive strips they use? Lots of happy squeals of delight when the cars are running on the track, being carried up by the agar, avoiding the chopping jaws. Again, it is a great idea. Just have to help the set overcome gravity's pull! I would still recommend this product. Just buy 3M strips used to hang heavy items.

fun but destructive
We love wall tracks - keeps toys off the walls but have found out the hard way that even though the Command strips tout wall saving techniques, if this track has been on your wall for a long amount of time it WILL NOT come off cleanly. Our strips broke before pulling enough to get the strip off therefore we had to rip them off the wall (while pulling paint and drywall with it!) Happened to two separate tracks in two bedrooms so was not a fluke!

Self starting toy for boys
We bought this toy for our 2.5 and 3.5 year old boys for Christmas. They love that they can play with it by themselves (turning it on and off). There are 2 add on pieces one to the top left and I believe one to the bottom right, so if you plan to get another set, save room on your wall for the space to add on.Super easy to set up, takes an hour for the 3M strips to set up, and I used 2 strips per fastener (had some left over strips from 3M hooks I had),
