Perfect rum for an everyday sip.
I love this rum. For the price I just think its incredible. I have a lot of the Doorlys range and always make sure I have a bottle of this to hand.I find it smooth and it also has a lovely aroma. I can drink it neat or mix whenever it takes my fancy. Its not going to set the world a light in terms of a sipping rum but it is a solid staple with a very good price.

Classic Bajan Rum great for cocktails
A really solid Bajan rum — no added sugar, just clean, classic flavour. You get soft vanilla, a little spice, and some tropical fruit notes. It’s not overly sweet, which I like, and works brilliantly in cocktails like a Daiquiri or with a splash of ginger ale.Not the richest sipper, but for the price it punches well above its weight. Great value and a great everyday bottle. Grab it on special.

Nice Strong Sipping Rum - Whiskey Rum!
If you've ever tried an ordinary supermarket rum, you'd most likely mix with Coke, straight you might "Arr Jim Lad" like a pirate as it goes down. You KNOW when you have tried it!We have enjoyed the sipping rums like Kraken which have a bit of spice, Morgan Spiced and the like.My wife and daughter really liked Old J Spiced rum, although the vanilla scent was a bit much to me. This, Doorly's, was described as having a butternut vanilla aftertaste, but to be honest that is not really true.This is a nice strong rum that I would not waste in mixers. I laughingly called it a whiskey rum and that does actually describe the taste. If rum were a good whiskey...........daft but you'll understand when you taste it.So no real taste of vanilla but a good sipper and a good choice.
