Autotamp EVO

I tried to order this product and got ahold of the manufacture to mill it to 57mm and I was told he would get back to me later that day or the next to confirm that was doable, but after not hearing back for two days I tried calling again and got no answer. I tried calling two more times after that and still no answer and no callback. I'm a little upset since I was a serious buyer and was told I would be contacted by them but instead I was unable to each the manufacture back at all.

I just ordered the Autotamp Evo series from the manufacturer in Washington State (My home state) and it arrived quicker than expected. For some reason I was expecting the first series which stands and has a rotating lever (this one has a straight plunger handle at the top).The naked aluminum design grew on me and I found that its sprawling legs gives it support in tamps, and surfaces easy to clean. It's ugly but in a cool nerdy way! I placed it on my mobile espresso stand bench and it fits right in with the other equipment that is on the workplace. The handle was stiffer than I expected but the 58mm head fits snugly in the portafilters and results in a consistent 30 lb pressure and a straight level surface. Brews also depend on grind consistency, and timing of the draw, and having this machine only helps make the job easier.I will definitely be promoting the Autotamp Evo edition to my fellow baristas and cafe owners in my local area.
