The Kany Sun Shelter is the latest addition to our growing family and my twin grand-babies love playing in it, as does their dog! I was seeking reliable UV shelter for my very fair-complected grandchildren, and this provided a lightweight solution. It comes packed in a zippered carrying case with handle-straps, no more cumbersome than a large-sized pizza. What emerges like a blue butterfly from a cocoon is a good-sized tent, with a roll-up back window, side privacy, zippered entry-way and extended flooring to double the dimensions beyond the door. (The extension can be folded up and placed beneath the tent when used indoors, too.) There is room inside for about two larger children, or a few babies, and it can be anchored with the stakes included. I think in the months, and years, to come, this will be a great indoors/outdoors spot for spirited tea parties, serious book-reading, peaceful naps and protection from the elements. I am pleased with my purchase, although with full disclosure, I did receive a discount.

This item broke the first time we tried to fold it back up and put back into its storage bag. The wire frame popped right out of the seems. It also does not easily fold back up. We had not even used it yet. We just took it out of the shipping box and opened it up to make sure it was in good shape. It broke upon simply putting it back in its case. It's a great size but seems a bit flimsy and is ultimately useless if it will break so easily considering the type of use it should be able to stand up to.

We used this pop-up tent six days in a row on the beach and it held up really well! It fits two adults and a kid including all our stuff and we still had a little bit of room left. It definitely takes some strategic positioning so it doesn't collapse when it's windy. This might be helped with a little adjustment in the design of the tent, put some vents/cut-outs towards the top of the tent. It is also very easy to set-up but a little tricky to fold back up. The two tricks that helped us when putting it away are 1 - fold it flat so the two main poles/faces are together and 2 - once it's flat, fold the tip to middle of the bottom, then twist the sides together and fold in until you get it to work - similar to how you would fold those old car sunshades (the twisting part might take several times until it works). We also like this tent a lot since it fits easily in our luggage. We definitely plan on using this more on other outdoor events.

I would not recommend this product. I had read the mixed reviews but the price was right for a once a year use so took a chance. We took it to Canon Beach, Oregon and the wind on the beach was too strong. The stakes we not long enough or appropriate for sand. The sand pockets helped. It was a nice size for one adult and a large Newfoundland dog. The lower vents worked great to keep the dog cool. Popped up quickly enough but the instructions were not at all helpful in getting it to collapse. Took many, many tries and just hit the magic formula by accident and quickly put it back in the case. Plan was to take it back out when we got home to clean, but it is staying in the case!

This tent was perfect! I got it to take to the beach for my 5 month old baby and be able to zip the doors shut to nurse her. I of course read customer reviews after and saw their pictures did not have doors on the tent and thought I was going to have to send it back. It does in fact have a zipper door on the front that is closable. And a large mesh window going the full length of the tent on the back. It has He silver lining on the inside for UV protection also! It's not very big but big enough that I can sit in there with her to feed her. You could probably fit 1-2 low beach chairs inside if nothing else was in there.

Be ware this larger size tent is much hard er to put back together. I just opened the package today and within 15 minutes of trying to practice putting the tent together indoors, a metal beam was broken right at the center at the bottom of one of the side flaps. Very disappointed! How do you break metal that is supposed to be flexible when folding along the curve? Also, this is a larger tent so if you watch the online videos carefully, a lot of the videos are done on smaller size tents. During the 2nd step, when you try to fold the triangle sized product from the top towards the bottom of the side flap, you cannot get to a cylindrical shape easily for the final step of folding in two circles. I was only able to put it back once successfully among many tries. >..< To be fair, I do think the tent itself looks spacious when expanded, if you can get through the folding back part okay, it can be a great product.

love the size-it's so roomy! was a great fit of our 1 year old and both adults to comfortably lounge on the beach. had to watch a video like 30 times to be able to re-fold the tent, but i think once i do it more often it will be easier. seems like very nice quality too.

We bought this before our beach vacation. It definitely serves its purpose and creates a roomy, shaded area. Was great with a toddler and I can imagine it's perfect if you have even younger ones who need a nap or diaper changing area. Problem lies in the fact that we could not get it folded back up. I literally spent hours looking on you tube and practicing!!! So now, it is headed to the garbage can because we are so irritated with it. Perhaps buy one that is easier to fold up.. so disappointed!!!
