When my new box arrived I excitedly set it up to find, to my disappointment, that the remote was dead on arrival. Instead of sending the box back to Amazon I decided to work with the seller on this issue...not really expecting too much. However, this seller went above and beyond all of my expectations and even more. Not only did he make good on replacing the remote, he actually had it shipped basically overnight all the way from China. Mind blown. How is THAT for amazing customer service? As far as the box goes, I was still able to get it running quite easily without the remote using a wireless mouse. Doing so was quite awkward, however....and a remote does enhance the experience of using this box. The box itself...it connects easily to my WiFi and works lightning fast with absolutely no network dropouts. I have not used too many apps as of yet on this, but from what I have used thus far I can state that the video it sends to my television is truly very high resolution and it looks amazing. I am extremely happy with my new purchase...and I am over the top happily amazed at the customer support I have received from this seller. As needs arise I will definitely be doing business with this seller again knowing in confidence that he really knows how to take great care of his customer base. :)

I don't know who writes all the reviews, but reviews had this box extremely over-rated. I have been involved with android tv boxes since their birth. I really wanted to like this box, but unfortunately--I can't. To begin with--the allwinner processor is very slow, which causes the box to continually freeze. Quality-wise--the picture quality is in the average neighborhood. I was really excited about Alice as the launcher on this box--sadly, she didn't live up to my expectations. Last but certainly not least--the remote that comes with this box is horrible at best. I will be returning this box come first thing Monday and if you are in the market for an android tv box--there are better ones out there and in the same price range.

The TX6 splash screen (see pic) shows for a short period and then moves to the Android figure on his back in need of repair (see pic) and stays there. The screen never changes away from the Android figure in need of help. The reset button doesn't do anything. Multiple restarts...no change. Amazon tech support was just as bad. The first tech wanted to know more about my TV than the issue. The second said tech support was not offered on chat but yet I was offered tech support by chat. Than the second "tech" said I would be contacted in 12 hours by tech support. I was told I was already speaking with tech support. I've had this box for less than an hour and it's been a highly disappointing experience. I have owned several Android boxes and still have a couple that work. I was trying to upgrade. NOT with this box. It doesn't make the grade when it never boots up.

More RAM and storage space than my previous Android TV Box, makes this a winner from the start. The UI looks great and it's easy to navigate. Haven't tried all of the preloaded apps. But with 64GB of storage space, adding many or all of your own won't be an issue.After the initial use straight out the box, the device would get a little to warm for my liking. However, that issue has subsided considerably on its own. It also has an annoying clicking sound when navigating with the remote. Not good when you're up at night searching for content to watch and everyone else is trying to sleep. But after almost 2 weeks, I figured out that I had to go into the settings and mute the Notifications option. That fixed the issue! I gave the remote 4 stars as its sometimes hit or miss if you're not aiming directly and facing the device. If you're off to the side a little bit, the device may not pick up the signal from the remote.All in all, I like the TX6 and would suggest it to anyone looking for a solid streaming device. I also didn't consider it to be all that expensive, even though there are some devices that cost considerably less. In my opinion, the price is definitely parallel to the device's performance...

I have tried over and over to get this to work even minutely like an actual working version of AndroidTV however the only apps that seem to work are Kodi and Hulu. Netflix will not load no matter the app download. The version it comes preloaded with won't launch. Tried side loading the version from my tablet unable to backup the version from my TV to side-load onto it. Plex is unable to connect to the local plex server so it streams at the lowest quality. Amazon prime doesn't load. So 2 of the least used apps load and 3 of the most used won't load, launch, or install.

This is my second android tv box. The previous one that i had purchased did not work as expected so i went ahead and purchased this one. To my surprise this tv box works great. The picture quality is great and it supports 5ghz wireless connection which makes it stream faster. The TV center is very useful since i can install kodi apps enjoy movies and shows. All in all a great buy.

I think its a great little device and ok to use. My disappointment came when I found our I could not use it for Netflix. Not a huge deal but I am searching for that streamer that does everything. You can see in the photo what happens every time I try and I have tried through chrome, through the app that comes installed, and I have discussed with Netflix and they say that some manufacturers of these devices just dont certify them and that is what this one dont work.

Setup manual made no sense. Can't even install and setup the stupid box. Waste of money and time.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This a very powerful mulitimedia device. Setup is not for the faint-hearted due to the massive number of apps you can download from the Play Store, but once you have customised settings to suit your needs it packs more punch for it's size than any other similar product I have seen.For best results, network connection should be via an RJ45 cable connected direct to your router. A Sony demonstration 4K video from YouTube really brought out the best from our TV. There is also an element of future-proofing with the ability to view in 6K if you have the appropriate equipment. Sound via our Denon 7.2 system was amazing with clearly defined sounds coming from the correct speakers. With so many IPTV services available now, this is the perfect box to tweak to your hearts content.

From a hardware aspect you cant go far wrong with this box. Its chipset is excellent, the gpu is ok and four gig of ram is very handy too. Its very snappy and handles most media with ease. It does run pretty hot though. I monitored the CPU for a few minutes playing 4k vids and it was around 88/94degrees centigrade and unloaded it still sits about 70.The remote is an awful line of sight IR but you expect that with these boxes and i quickly swapped it for a decent air remote.By far the biggest let down for me was Alice UX. Its just not my cup of tea.The worse thing about this box is it doesnt play nicely with other launchers either so swapping it out for another one is not easy. I tried about 5 and none of them worked well. If anyones interested ADW launcher 2 does seem to work fairly well though.Being tied into Alice also means no live wallpapers work either and you cant set your new launcher as default.Also frustratingly there is no ability to grab and pull so web pages are clunky as you have to click through the page.Tried two Vpn's and both worked fine.All in all though and with the launcher swapped its a great box for the money and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This android box is great. My tv being 9 years old, it doesn’t have smart tv. This box is perfect solution to access what smart tv has to offer. Setting up is very easy, pretty much ready straight out of the box. Connect to WiFi, download apps you need and you’re good to go. Having 5ghz connectivity is great, I experienced no lag with streaming whatsoever. I downloaded Wonder Woman and John wick from amazon video in less than 5 minutes. The software (after update) was smooth and responsive. The only complaint I had was with the remote, small issue, you have to point directly at the box for it to receive signal. After a while, you will get used to that and won’t be an issue.

This player has lots of features including a faster cpu to play my movies faster and without delaying. The unit setup simply onto my internet and updated itself with ease. I would like to see some help files however it does what i need it to do.

Install is easier than expected, once I connected with my TV HDMI port, it immediately started to detect the deviceThe wifi is amazing compared to other android boxes. And tv box and apps were upgraded to the latest versions. It works well and reliably.Overall,this is definitely worth the money.
