R4 29" BMX 700c Bicycle 5-Spoke Mag Alloy Wheel Set Front and Rear W/Freewheel (Gloss Black)

I love the look of the wheels but it required some work to get it to run properly on my bike. I had to purchase a new sprocket for the conversion. I needed a spacer for the rotor. Replaced the shaft and bearings to get the length I needed. This was done to the rear only. The front was a perfect fit.

Purchased these directly from the R4 website. Took them to bike shop I’ve been going to for 40 yrs and they told me one was warped. Emailed Frank at R4 and told him I wanted a refund. He responded saying all wheels are inspected before being shipped and even if there was a “variance” I wouldn’t feel it when I’m riding. Emailed him back that I want a refund anyway because I expect a brand new product not to be defective and now he won’t answer me. Good luck with these wheels!!!

I’ve purchased 3 sets of Mags from them and Although I have no complaints only one is 2 out of 2 didn’t fit and I had to call them For an axel that would make Mags fit when they could avoid all this problem for everyone by simply sending one with rims just in case considering we are paying $300 !
