I was about to send this bag back because it had all the markings of faux leather, rolled edges and a plastic feel to it, not the typical leather smell and made in China. So I ended up checking it in 2 discreet places and am happy to report that it is in fact mostly leather. Everywhere that I could reach seems to be leather. I checked on the front zipper pocket of the purse and that was leather and on the top panel above the back zipper the 4 pieces under the loop and shoulder straps were also leather. The hanging loop appears to be leather but the shoulder straps, however, are faux leather and possibly the bottom panel of the purse, the underside of the front pocket flap and the tab with the magnetic snap. Unfortunate re: the shoulder straps given that they will carry a lot of weight. I believe even the more expensive leather accessories have some amount of faux leather in some places so I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The bag is a good size and fits a tall 18 oz water bottle. Not sure the shoulder straps would hold the extra weight well. Only thing that would make this perfect would be a divider inside the purse to separate things. Otherwise a good purchase.

Fabulous bargain! I've had this now for about 3 weeks and am enjoying it very much. It is spacious inside and has 3 different pockets with secure closings (2 zipper and one magnetic snap) that are very handy for things you reach for often. It has a zip pouch and 2 slots in the lining inside, one holds my iPhone 5 just fine. The zippers are of good quality and appear that they will last. The leather is not top quality, but it is leather fully, not the patched together scraps that make up some handbags, etc. The straps are ample in length and lined so they don't slip off your shoulders while wearing. I think I totally got my money's worth.

I use this everyday. It has so much room without being too big...size is between a regular school backpack and a mini-purse backpack. I like that it has so many pockets. It's just a bit too big to fit in my office filing cabinet.

Perfect size. The backpack is sturdy leather, not fine leather, but for the price it is much nicer than expected. Many people ask me where I got the bag. Best part is there is an inner zipper on the backside that one can keep their valuables in and hard for a thief to reach. No way can a person reach into this compartment against my back, unzip it and then reach in so it is great place to keep hotel room key or money.

I've had this purse for a few months now and I am very happy with the durability. It really does seem like it should cost more than it does. It's a great size and I like the zippered main compartment vs the drawstrings you normally see on backpack purses. I've never found a drawstring that held securely. The nylon under the straps helps keep the straps from slipping on your shoulders. Very pleased with this item.

This is a great backpack purse. I was looking for something not too big that I can use walking around the city. It has lots of pockets to hold all my items. The front zippered pocket is deep enough to fit my phone (Galaxy S4). There is a larger zippered pocket on the back if you have a larger phone. There is one more zippered pocket inside and two open un-zippered pockets, plus the large open compartment. The flap magnet-closure pocket on the front is handy for other small items. The straps have a large range of adjustability, which would be great for people of different sizes and shapes. The leather is good quality, the rich brown color is true to the photograph, and the construction appears to be very solid and well-made. It is a great price. I could not find anything this nice in any store near me for this low price.

too small. straps not long enough. no compartments inside to help with organization. product is not made and just too small for what I needed. Moderately attractive to look at.... just too small.I have now used this for a few months. I have to change the rating to one star.the handle is not leather. It's a leather sheath over some cheap elastic cord. the leather sheath separated from the purse and from the elastic cord, so it looks terrible and clearly was not well made.I would caution anyone about purchasing, unless you only want to use once per month.not a good buy for your money.

ok , I needed a decent sized bag , easy to carry with my hands full, for a plane trip where the airline charges extra for carry-on. This is going to work great, it is big enough for my tablet, my meds my wallet a snack , you know general stuff . Lot's of little pockets for your phone, wallet, chapstick etc.Ok this is my biggest comment, when I read the reviews I noticed a few people commented on a smell that they were concerned about, I would like the opportunity to say the "smell" is how REAL leather is supposed to smell, in fact it is the way I always judge shoes, bags etc before I buy them at the store. You can't always tell on new items, because real leather gets it little wrinkles as it get's used, but brand new it is very smooth.
