One purchase that you'll be glad you made!
This book is absolutely AMAZING! It is so thoroughly written and presented. It gives a very sturdy and stable foundation from which you can successfully build your knowledge of coding from! I absolutely love it! The games and activities for testing your knowledge really make it fun and I could go on and on but my hands are cramping from too much texting and posting to snapchat so I'll let that be all but if you're considering purchasing this book I advise you to stop considering and BUY THIS BOOK, YOU WILL BE GLAD THAT YOU DID! 👌🏾💯🙌🏾😁😍☺️

I Love It. Took Medical Terminology back in 2012 for two semesters, but never had Anatomy. Looking forward to getting in deep with this book, before moving on to my coding. Spent six years as a medical coder and biller for in-house patients, but, have been out of that field now since 2009. Since ICD-10 in coming, I will have to start my coding career all over again. At least this time, I already have my college degree to go with it.

Excellent reference for class or self-study
Very comprehensive text, presented to build your knowledge as you go. Order of chapters was well thought out, and information presented in an interesting manner. Huge amount of information covered, with focus on break down of word roots, suffixes, etc, to really help you to understand the terms, rather than just memorizing them. I used this book for self-study, and completed reading, and all exercises in a few weeks. Would recommend this text highly.

Don't get it if you want to be able to read all parts of the book! (paper white Kindle is what I used)
I'm only 2% into the book and I really liked it up until I came to Exercise 1. It has a small box to practice matching healthcare terms but you can't read it nor can you enlarge it.( I own a paper white kindle and I don't know if the device makes a difference) as you get farther into the chapter their is another boxed list showing Noun-Endings Suffixes and it's the same thing can't read it. Print is too light and tiny and you can't enlarge it! I gave it 2 stars because I am having trouble overlooking this part but I do like what I have read so far.

Great for beginning/non-clinical coders
Excellent book for first-time coders/non-clinical coders. Not so much for straight A&P, as I don't think it's probably specific enough and the (plentiful) illustrations are not quite detailed enough. BUT it is specifically for ICD-10, and it's great for that. The online study resources are great and I use them daily. Would definitely recommend.

disapointed
As I have to access it in the cloud, which I did not understand would happen, I have not read much of it. I would not have bought it if I knew I could not own it out right.
