This is a delightful and lighthearted glimpse into a time gone by. The humorous sayings and stories are reminiscent of having an afternoon chat in the front porch rockers with a class of Iced Tea in hand. The author shares snippets of his personal "growing up years on the farm" that leave you longing for those simpler times where people were still considerate to one another as a general rule and children respected their parents with the deference that should be expected. This charming book is a must have for the library. I am going to be buying several this Christmas season knowing that the adults in my family will cherish the history and laughter that comes with this great read!"
