No But if you get one that does, it would not be hard to scratch it off.

Are the pvc ones better then foam ones like this? I would like to use it for my quads after heavy squat workouts.

The pvc ones are very hard, so if you're used to working with the black foam rollers, they'll be good for you. If you've never used a foam roller before, use a white one, they're softer.

How is this roller compared to the $65 trigger point one? I always use the trigger point one at the gym but want to have my own roller to use at home.

I am not familiar with the Trigger point one but the black mountain is solid and sturdy. It does the job of getting knots out of my back and legs.

What's the diameter of the 24" roller?

I bought the 36 inch roller and it's 6 inches across - I'd guess they're the same but I'm not positive. Just a heads up that this is VERY firm. I like it but others might not. Also, if you want to do any back work with it I really like the 36 inch one - it lines up nicely with your spine for a good stretch (I'm 5'6").
