I am a pretty big guy and there was plenty of room left on the wrist band - unless you're an NFL defensive tackle, it will probably fit you just fine. Also, the magnets seem to be powerful enough for anything you are likely to throw at it. As a test, I slapped a pair of Fiskar pruning shears to the wristband and it held them... I wouldn't recommend carrying them that way and I am pretty sure the minute I started moving around they would have probably fallen off but the point is, the smaller stuff you are getting this thing for(screws, nails, bits etc) should have no problems. I'd prefer double stitching but that being said, the velcro is plentiful and looks good, there is actually a small amount of padding and it even has some small pockets in case you have something non-magnetic (think dowel pins) that you want to keep handy. Overall, not a bad piece of kit.

I gifted this wristband to my dad, who is basically a jack of all trades. He loves it! He's always had a bad habit of putting nails between his teeth when he went up ladders, but now he just needs to place them on the wristband, and he's good to go. It saves his time, and he stays a bit safer since he doesn't have to place nails in his mouth or keep looking down to grab more nails. I don't think he's tried to place heavier objects on the band, so I can't attest to that particular claim, but all in all, he's a very satisfied customer!

I used to have something like this from Harbor Freight. It was light but had a rather small magnet. THis is big..and somewhat heavy. But it holds quite a bit. It will last forever but if small wrist it will be cumbersom.

Bought it as a present. My husband likes it alot. It's very convenient. He found it also pretty comfortable. It is strong enough to hold a knive (silverware).

Do a lot of work on laddres. Very handy for iron and steel parts.
