Not something you'd probably want on a nice desk.
Meh ... it's cheaply made and cheaply priced. I didn't expect real oak for this price, maybe pine or some sort of composite material. What this is, is a particle board with a vinyl contact paper applied over the "wood" to give it a wood grain look. It would have been better to just stain the particle board. It sits in a cabinet and holds a big pile of foolscap paper so that I can pull the paper out and get at it. No one sees it and for that it works just fine. But anything resembling quality it is definitely not. I also have two of these exact same items in a mahogany finish and they look MUCH better than this one does. You can't really tell the darker finish is not real wood but this blonde looking "wood" is pretty cheesy. The construction is flimsy, the bottom pieces is set in a groove cut around the interior but it's not glued or pinned, it's just laying in the groove. If you put enough pressure on it the base pops out. I discovered this when my 8 lb. cat sat in the thing when it was full of paper so it's not like it took a lot to pop it out. It wasn't hard to repair, just put the cardboard sheet back where it belongs and then glued it securely from underneath. It won't come out again but hey, for $10 or so you could expect them to use 1/64th of an ounce of glue on the thing where it needs it. I doubt I'll be buying any more of these but if I do they're going to get glue on the bottom before they get paper put in the top.Mine came with a stacker, half of what you need to stack two units. When you get a second unit you have two stackers and can stack them. However if you bought a third then you can't because you're short a stacker, etc.All in all, not a very good value for the money.
