I am a dumpster diver, a short dumpster diver, so I liked that this was longer than my usual grabber. It broke on first use. I was trying to pick up something heavy and the piece of metal that latches to keep it extended bent out of shape. I managed to get back into somewhat of enough shape to get it to latch again and then duct taped the heck out of it to keep it closed. I did that on both pieces that latch therefore rending it no longer collapsible, which doesn't bother me. I wish it had a stabby thing on it like my other grabber, that and the fact it isn't good for heavy stuff are my only complaints. The length is its biggest plus.

I tried these out in the yard and that didn't work out very well. My fault., not product. They would be excellent indoors.

Good size, grip good. Easy to fold up. Good for price.

I needed a unit that was fairly long. This fits that perfectly, since where I need to get was further back then another one that I had. But this was able to reach and I was able to get to what I was after.

I really love this grabber! I basically use it to pick trash out of my pond and canal, and seriously I can pick up a bottle cap with it!Very well constructed easy to use and I think it's going to last a long time. I got the 40 inch because I wanted a little longer a length. Highly recommended for outdoor use, but if you're just like me an old fart trying to pick stuff off a shelf in the kitchen, a shorter length would be fine too. Anyhow for the price this is probably the best purchase I made this year! I am helping the environment and it is painless! Everybody should get one of these and go out to your local Beach or pond or whatever and just pick up trash and throw it away you will feel much better, trust me!

Sometimes you need a little extra reach to grab what you need. This helps me reach the highest shelves that I needed a step up to get to.
