Q: What size do i need for a 1.5 in. width cord?

I would get the 12mm size. I have used this to wrap multiple cords in clean up the mess you see behind a computer desk or entertainment center. The wrap will go around a large bundle without and issue as it is very flexible. Also, depending on the length you are using, I would recommend taping the ends of the wrap to the cords you are wrapping. I use electrical tape and it anchors the wrap such that as you pull it tight, the wrap doesn't move or slide. I used the clear wrap as well.

Q: Product info says white and translucent - which is it?

It is a white translucent / opaque material. Not a solid white. You can make out there are cables inside it.

Q: Is this size big enough for a regular size cord like a lamp cord?

I would think so. I used it for 2 to 5 sets of 18 ga lamp cord that I used for speaker wire. I used 4” to 6” pieces and spaced them apart a little. You can stuff them pretty good into the spiral plastic wrapping it’s flexable. Worked great for me!!!
