Works great !
The media could not be loaded. This skimmer works better than any I’ve tried in the past, very easy to tweak. And very good price point too, I would definitely buy another without even thinking about.

Broke within 2 weeks
This skimmer broke within two weeks of me installing it. I just got it two weeks ago and today it stopped pumping water out of the return and flooded my living room, draining my tank. Do not recommend. I wish I'd kept the box so I could have at least gotten my money back, but I didn't.

Best skimmer for the money but will flood your floors
So I want to start off by saying this is not my first skimmer and it has alot of PRO/CON'S to it I have now had this skimer for 3 months.Pro: for the money its a good dealCon: It can fail in a few ways and drain a tank quick.Pro: its very easy to set up and you can dial it in well.Con: the plastic parts it use can brake really easyCon: it likes to not re-prime if you have the water set to below 75% flow.Over all tho it has some areas that if they fix it would be a really good skimmer for the money. but be very very careful as its easy to flood your floors with this skimmer

Not so happy with it after a few months
Updating my review after a few months of use and I have to say the skimmer became very fussy over time. Loss of prime continuously. Constantly fussing and fighting with it. When it worked it worked great but I just don't have the time to mess with it constantly.The design is a novel idea but not worth the time patience or hassle and it has been replaced with a much better unit.Don't waste time on this one. Spend more and go for an octopus skimmer or the like.I'm disappointed. It did work well to begin with.

Time consuming and tedious to prime and fine tune, but works once adjusted properly.
I had a difficult time getting the skimmer to prime. After watching you tube videos and nothing working I finally just left it alone and it started working suddenly after an hour. I then spent all day checking frequently and adjusting the dials to get the foam and water levels where they needed to be. I am finally getting some brown foam and dark water in the collection cup, so I know it's cleaning my tank, but I have never had to spend so much time fussing with a finicky skimmer before.

This thing was delivered to my house and I got it all set up on my tank. I plugged it in and couldn't get it to work. I worked for over 1 hour on it and still can't get it to work. I just wasted $100 on this item. Please do not purchase this!
