Mac Book Pro Charger, AC 85w Magsafe 2 Power Adapter for MacBook Pro 17/15/13 Inch Made After Mid 2012

I will edit this review if I have any issues with this charger.I bought this for a macbook pro to replace the stock charger which inexplicably stopped working. I did a bit of research, and didn't want to get the cheapest thing I could find since it's going to be powering a very pricey laptop. I also didn't want to spend the $90 Apple wants for the same thing. It came packaged in a small box, and other than the fact that it's missing the Apple logo- it's mostly indistinguishable from the stock charger. It's the same size, shape, color, etc. The plug can be swapped out for my existing stock extension cord, which is nice. The only remark I have to make about it right now is that it is significantly lighter than the stock unit. I'm not sure if weight directly corresponds to quality, but I think I'd feel a little better about this charger if it weighed about 1/3 more than it does- which would put it right about in line with the stock one. Regardless, I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on it for the first few months to make sure that it isn't getting too hot and that it's stopping the charge once the laptop reaches a full charge state, which I'm confident that it will. Overall, for about a quarter of the price of the stock one- I think that this is a good buy.

It is affordable and overall I am pretty satisfied with the product. I definitely recommend to those Mac users that do not want to spend the high prices that the Apple store charges.

It's a power supply, what is there to say? I'm using it with a MacBook Pro 15.4" (2015), with the MagSafe 2 connector. It charges the battery quickly, including while I'm using the computer. At a glance, it's basically indistinguishable from the Apple adapter it came with. (One difference: The OEM adapter comes with both the two prong "corner" adapter that makes it a "wall wort," and a long cord that slots into the same corner. This adapter comes with only the two-prong corner, no longer cord. But it will work with the Apple cord.) So far, $23 well spent!

I just received yesterday and plugged my low battery in for about 1/2 hour as I wanted to test whether the charger got hot. NOPE. Slightly warm but no more than my Apple charger that came with my computer, and this new one charged it up to green very quickly which was something else I had worried about. I can't say how well it will do in the long-term, nor on a very frequent schedule as I bought it as a back up to carry in my computer bag but considering what I needed it for, I couldn't ask for better. The price was great! It was well packed and shipped and arrived in a timely fashion. It looks fabulous, and all of the reviews I had read that led me to purchase were very favorable. Finally, a company that is worth its salt! I would say value for your money is what you are getting!

I bought this charger a few weeks ago so that I could keep one charger for my Macbook Pro at home and one at the office. Now that they don't put PVC in the cables anymore, they break down really easily and I didn't want to pack up and transport my original charger everyday and wear it out.This charger has been great. Its quality is comparable to the original charger. I've had no problems with it in the few weeks I've had it and I don't expect to have any issues related to the cord fraying since I don't wrap up the cord ever. It doesn't always work out buying the cheaper option, but in this case, I'm definitely glad I went this route instead of paying $60-70 for a charger directly from Apple.

 Ok, so I bought this thinking "genuine Apple chargers' pricing may be steep so I'll go for an alternative".Bad idea. See the video and check for yourself. I noticed these sparks as I was plugging the cable to my Macbook pro, luckily my laptop wasn't damaged.So, for demonstration purposes, I recreated what this cable does when it touches any metal OR your laptop's power input.At first it was working fine, bought about a week ago, and now this.Do not buy this cheap crap unless you want to risk frying yourself or your laptop.

Like many other 3rd party Macbook Pro chargers, his 85w charger looks identical to the original Apple charger right down to the magsafe2 connector with its small indicator light. It comes with a wall plug that can be easily removed in order to attach the original power cable and plug that came with the original charger. Actual charging time seems to be extremely fast. I like everything about this charger. It came neatly packed in a small brown box and the device itself was covered in cellophane scratch protectors. Finally, while the price was unbelievably low, it had extremely high ratings. The big difference between this charger and those from different vendors is that this one runs much cooler. I had ordered another charger from a different vendor that I had to return, because it ran extremely hot. I measured a temperature of up to 173 F using an infrared thermometer. By contrast, this charger peaked out at slightly over 130 F. If I encounter problems with this charger, I will return and provide an update to this review.

Received mine and seems to be working great so far. Will update if I notice anything but so far it's working as expected and excellent value for money compared to paying the original Apple price!
