Content not appropriate for young toddlers
after buying this for my 2 yr old I quickly learned he's a bit too young for most of the words in this book. I didn't realize it would be so literal but figured out why as it was translated from Japanese. I would recommend this book for children 5+. My son likes the page with the flap where the skeleton is revealed (although I find it a bit creepy, it is reality so that's ok). He also likes the pages that describe facial expressions through colors. This is a very good educational book to use when showing your child the myriad of emotions that are displayed by our facial expressions however the content is such that it can't be fully appreciated until they're at least 5yrs or older. This one will have to sit on the bookshelf until then.

Great for Writer's Workshop!
I bought this book for my Pre-K kids. I use it to show the variety of faces the characters in their story could have, should they choose it. The pictures are great. You don't necessarily have to read it all--I definitely don't. You could just take a picture walk and discuss the different emotions and faces. LOVE IT!

Fun to read one on one
Quirky-sweet illustrations. Fun to read one on one. not the best for large group readings.

Great buy for 2-3 year olds
My children Love this book and the pull out page with the skeleton. It is very simply worded and easy for little ones to understand.

All about faces
I highly recommend this book. We will be using this book to teach our 3 and 4 year olds about feelings and emotions.
