Excellent quality ham, not at all salty.
Sent in a well packed package. Lots of padding prevents any denting or damage to the cans.

Typical middle class family taste test results: 7.5 out of 10
My wife and I are in our early 50's, with 3 daughters 18, 21, 24yrs old. Typical middle class family. To me, it tasted like decent quality ham (no smoke nor honey flavoring) and on the plain ham scale figure a 8 out of 10. My wife couldn't get past the fact it didn't have honey flavor and gave it a 7 out of 10. Daughters wouldn't do numbers but said versions of "it's ok, just need to add spices to it. We can use it in lots of dishes."Honestly the best reception I've had of any of my long term food storage items they have tested so far - but the challenge will be keeping it on the shelf now that my 2 daughters that love cooking know about it .

Ham can leaked and rotten.
I ordered the three pack and one of the cans leaked all over the inside and smelled horrible. Rotten.

Hams are usually good.
Of the 3 cans sent, two are fine but one was totally spoiled. The can had been crushed and leaked andwas a real mess. Both cans looked a little worse for wear but we still totally sealed. So far so good.

Very Tasty
For me this ham is very good. In some of the reviews I read people thought it was too salty, but I didn’t find that true for me. Overall, for canned ham it is worth buying again. I plan to order more in time.

Some things change...
not always for the better.Definitely not the Premium Ham I recalled from my youth.I grew up in a poor southern household, actually went to high school barefoot through many times - my friends and probably the teachers thought I was just a hippie. Owned two pairs of pants over the same time, wore hand-me down oversize shirts from my brothers. Very poor, but my mom always made sure we were fed.So I remember buying these when they were like 79 cents on sale at the A&P or Kresge's 5&10 store so my mom could make Schunks (a Bohmeian-slovak family dish with noodles, cabbage and ham - seasonings I never learned) and sandwiches with 2 day-old white bread and mayo. She could squeeze a meal for 8 people out of one of these cans (my dad said she could pinch a penny so hard Lincoln would "toot" - he actually used the "f"-word for passing gas but I'm not sure that word would get past the Amazon censors). My memory's changed over 50 years, I know, but I've eaten Spam, a lot of spam, I like spam on occasion (and the Monty Python routine of the same name), but I honestly didn't remember this being, well, potted meat, made from what a friend of mine used to say was the parts of the pig you left for the sharecroppers: teats taints and touch holes. It's edible, in a spamish kind of way, and my dogs like it.Has an expiration date 3 years down the road so I'll keep it "just in case," like the perennial jar of pickled pigs feet I keep on a shelf in memory of my grandfather and "uncle" Huey who used to wolf 'em down with Carling's Black Label way back when they'd get together on the farm and recall and relive their arguably misspent youth in the 1920s.

These are the standard defacto
I'm usually not one for canned meats, but I discovered these years ago when I had to make an emergency potluck dish. Someone requested ham and scalloped potatoes and I found a recipe calling for this ham. It said do not substitute. I was amazed how delicious the casserole was and how tender and moist the ham remained. I've been buying them since. Have bought other brands occasionally when out of stock and my family noticed immediately. So I buy these in bulk when the price is right!

Awesome flavor, worth it.
The flavor of the ham is really good, especially if you score it, stud it with cloves, sprinkle it with brown sugar, and bake it, giving it a nice sweet and spicy skin. It is as salty as you'd expect any canned meat to be, which is on the higher side. Baking helps balance the saltiness of the ham with the sweetness of the sugar. Tastes really great in a grilled cheese sandwich. The price is worth it, given that it's nearly half a kilo of pure meat and it is imported. Any good quality frozen meat product would cost the same if not higher.

Good ham
It is good when you make ham sandwich. That's what I am making with the ham. You can also use it to make ham and mushroom fried rice or khimchi fried rice.

Eh
If I'd known that ham was extremely salty, I wouldn't have bought it. The product seems good, but I think I'm just not a ham person.
