Peter Grimm Depp Fedora Hat

Nice hat had many compliments already. Amazon sent it in a very small box all crumpled up. I stuffed a t-shirt inside the hat and one over it and steamed the crinkles out with my iron. It fits my head which is very big. I'm 6'4" 235lbs 64mm head size exactly and I wear an 8 in a New Era fitted cap. So I was happy it fit. Buying XXL hats are always a crap shoot for me. Hat came crushed in a large sized box that was not dented which leads me to believe that these are how these hats are stored in whatever warehouse they come from. This is the 2nd of this hat that I have ordered and both times same result (there will not be a third). There is no point in spending $30 bucks on something that arrives that way. The 2XL is smaller than others (Bailey of Hollywood for example) and doesnt breathe real well ending in a case of swamp head. I guess you get what you pay for....

The hat would have been perfect if not for it being crushed when packaged. The person who packaged the hat for shipment forced it into a box that was too small. The hat was crushed and ruined. The hat was exactly what I was looking for and now it is ruined. I was very disappointed. I don't fault the hat. The Team Members in the Amazon shipping department need to realize that the products that they are shipping are important to the people who order them. It will be hard for me to order anything else from Amazon. This app forces you to choose at least one star. My rating is zero stars for Amazon shipping.

Others had mentioned in their reviews that their Peter Grimm hats had arrived crushed. I'd hoped that I'd get lucky and get a hat that was wearable. The hat was shipped in a box that was completely inappropriate for this item. More appropriate for a book. It would not be possible to put the hat in the box used without permanently crushing the straw brim and top of the hat. Seller obviously has absolutely no regard for delivering an acceptable item. Don't waste your time. Do not buy a Peter Grimm Hat. I didn't even take mine out of the plastic before sending it back.

I am a collector of luxury headwaters. I been eyeing this hat for a long time. I was a lil worried that the hat would come damage. Because of the reviews. But it came came well packed. I love the detail of the hat. I does not feel cheap. The outer straw texture is well made. The inter linen feels real premium. And on the side of the band the running rabbit as the logo. In all a real nice classy spring/summer hat. I will be purchasing some more hats in the future.

I like the way this looks. I was going to purchase the orange, but it was no longer in stock for my size. It fits fairly well, may be a tad bit small but it's pretty close. I'm not sure how well it will wear though since it is made from a braided paper straw. Whatever that is. I won't wear it in the rain, I know that. We will see how th sweat affects it. My wife hates this hat though. She feels it is totally useless. When I told her it was less about utility and more about a sense of fashion she quickly reminded me I have no fashion sense. I still like the hat though. And the wife.

Unfortunately for me, the fit is spot on and the band is non-stretch (as it really should be). I wear a size 8 1/4, so I had to stretch it some, even though I bought the largest size. But by warming up the glue under the band and using a hat stretcher, that wasn't too hard. It looks good, and is lightweight and cool -- just what I need here in Florida. The color in the picture is pretty true, at least on my monitor. The brim is small (it is a Trilby, after all), so don't buy this as a sun hat unless it's just to cover baldness or thinning.Before realizing that warming the glue would assist in stretching, I tried wetting it. It dried fine and the color didn't run, but it probably wouldn't actually be a lot of help in the rain. Haven't been caught in the rain yet to see.If it was her size, it would look as good on my lady as as it does on me.

No doubt that is outlet material and not a quality 1 product. I take great care of my hats. And I was surprised to see this one arrive unboxed. The hat rims are uneven. The rim should be symmetrical all around. On this one it is not. I like the rich blue color and the band around it. But this particular hat is a reject from a quality control basis. Very disappointed all around. I own other Peter Grimm hats and I would dare say this is a knock off.

As always Peter Grimm makes amazing high quality hats. Nothing but the best. I wish it was a tad smaller like my other hat from Peter Grimm. With a few cork strips it should be fine. On that note,time to go out in style. 😎 Update, the hat is starting to break down for some reason. I've asked the buyer but haven't received a reason why.

The size still small even I order XXL. The hat is not properly fix in the box, it ruins the shape and the material is very cheap.
