Sorry DeWalt, it's not you, it's them
So, like anyone buying these, I knew I was taking a risk and more than likely would not get the same performance as the official DeWalt batteries. But, the price was too tempting! Here's what I found: 1) they don't last quite as long as the DeWalt 6AH batteries. In fact, I used both of them in a 20v max lawnmower and tested them against DeWalt's 5AH batteries and the 5AH batteries kept the mower running for longer! 2) The build quality is good but the housing of the batteries are smoother than their DeWalt counterparts. This is kind of annoying when taking them off the charger as they are kind of slippery. Not a big deal though, and can be fixed by wearing grippy work gloves. 3) Performance otherwise is amazing. I've used them in a chainsaw, pole saw, lawn mower, drill, etc. and they do last a good amount of time with consistent performance and no heat. They charge with little to no heat. 4) That price! If you're competing apples to apples, these two knockoff 6AH batteries are really the price of 1 DeWalt 4AH battery. I mean, seriously? You can't beat that. DeWalt and the other major companies have always gouged consumers with the price of their batteries and it feels good to have a less expensive option. Can't wait to buy more of these knockoff batteries! Better than DeWalt because they're inexpensive and work great. Sorry DeWalt, it's not you, it's them. They are just too good.Update: Added a star - still running strong after 1 year of heavy use (primarily in my chainsaw, pole saw, circular saw, recirc saw, and drills).

3Ah batteries dressed up as 6Ah
Buying cheap batteries on the internet is like going home with the last girl still in the bar at 2AM. You knew you shouldn't have, but you did anyways. Once the clothes start coming off and the closer you look, the more you regret it. Best case scenario - you have a good, short run and move on to better things. Worst case scenario - you end up with herpes and/or a broken tool.In this case, you're not gonna get herpes and your tools aren't going to burn up in a puff of smoke, but you're still not getting everything you bargained for.The short and sweet of it? They're 3Ah batteries, not 6Ah. Yeah they work and yeah, they're still a good value compared with DeWalt branded batteries. But considering there are cheaper options with comparable, if not bigger and better, cells out there, it pisses me off to no end that middleman distributors are still trying to pass off this BS.Getting a little more technical, the batteries consist of 10 EVE branded ICR18650-15P cells (3.6V, 1.5Ah) configured in 5S2P yielding 3Ah of capacity. I don't care if Bernie Madoff taught you math, 1.5x2 don't equal 6. From what I gather, the cells themselves are decent enough in quality, but by no means top of the line. I couldn't find a spec sheet specific for these little guys, but similarly designated Samsung cells suggest a maximum draw in the neighborhood of 13-18A. Not awful, but these cells definitely weren't designed with power tools as the primary application. Don't expect to get full chooch from the heavy-draw tools - circular saw, sawzall, impact driver. With respect to longevity, also don't expect these batteries to live as long as they ought to if you're using them nearly exclusively with those tools. Otherwise, I figure you can reasonably expect ~60-70% capacity retention over a couple years of intermittent use.As far as build quality is concerned, the batteries are very well assembled with a few caveats. The solder joints are reasonably clean and have excellent contact while the fitment of the components lacks any play whatsoever. However, the thermistor is situated a fair distance from the cell fixture and could use a much more generous glob of thermal adhesive. The plastic housing is marked with HRDLB200 and DLB200; I have no clue what those codes mean, but she looks, feels, and tastes like cheap ABS. This thing will no doubt shatter into a million pieces after a decent fall, but that's why God gave us duct tape.Would I take her home again? I'd say no, but when it's last call, we all make bad decisions. She gets the job done, but she definitely ain't everything she says she is.

Would not charge, now they do
I received the two pack of new batteries and neither would charge. They would instantly show "charged" on the charger but the indicator on the battery was only one bar and would power the tool for about a minute.I found where someone else had the same issue and the fix for theirs, and now mine, was to hold the battery release button while placing in the charger to get it to "snap" in correctly. Now both are full charging perfectly.I did not have to do that on the original Dewalt batteries but it did fix the charging problem on these long lasting replacement batteries.

Skip the Dewalt Brand
These are not dewalt 6 amp hour batteries, and your not paying no where near the cost of a 6 amp hour battery. So if they last slightly less than a true 6 amp from dewalt so what, one 2 amp true dewalt battery on here sells for $40+. I only buy knock off dewalt 6 amp batteries as I can't justify paying $150 for one from dewalt so I can't speak about longevity compared to actual dewalts, but I have 4 total from 3 different makers and these are my favorite so far. All seem to last about the same and my oldest knock offs are over 2 yrs old and are used at least 5 days a week and sit in a hot/cold van all year long which isn't good for any battery, yet no issues. I use these in a impact, hammer drill and a oscillating saw with no issue for hours and hours. If your a person that pays $250 for a brand name shirt that cost $5 to make continue buying the dewalts, if you value your money buy these.

Great value, Works as it should
These work as they should, powerful and long lasting. I’m afraid I cannot quantify just yet exactly how long the 6 amp batteries last on different equipment but they kick the crud out of the compact batteries I’ve been using on drills and impact drivers. I used these to anchor a bunch of lag screws with a compact impact driver and had plenty of juice left over.I tested the charging on a DCB101 Dewalt charger and it worked fine.Pro’s:Great value, save over a hundred bucks with this twin packBattery life indicator is fabulous, especially if they sit for a while between projects.Lithium Ion cells are a must.Cons:A bit on the heavy side, but that is to be expected. You can’t expect it to be like a slim pack with 6 amps at your disposal.
