Controls are about six months old now still work great in fact I love these little gadgets so much so I bought another box for my friend. It's difficult for me to walk around and bend over so I spend a lot of time in my wheelchair or lying down on my bed. I connected one to the outdoor fountain another one that controls my patio chandelier. Another to my living room lamp, fan, and bedroom lamps. I don't have to go out and unplug my fountain anymore, and if it gets too cold at night I turn off my living room fan from my bedroom. In the morning I turn my coffee maker on from my bed plus I have this big electric spotlight outside if I hear something I turn it on and scare off whomever or whatever may be out there. I live in a casita-type apartment with a small patio and yard we are not allowed to hardwire anything and solar well it just doesn't last long enough. Once you figure out what number goes to each gadget your ready. I wrote on the back of mine what they go to. I know they work from about 30 feet away but have never tried it from any other distance. Buy these they are useful and fun.

The media could not be loaded.  Imagine remotely switching 5 electrical devices you couldn't remotely switch before!My bed side table required me to shuffle through a maze to turn on in low light, but now I can turn it on upon entering the apartment.My two identical living room torchere lamps are on opposite corners and have three-way bulbs. Remotely controlling them in the lowest position works fine, but you can't change bulb brightness remotely.It also cannot allow my electric kettle to auto shutoff, so think through what you plan to use them on.It doesn't need a clear straight path between remote and plug, just point in any direction!I like this configuration's five plugs and two remotes. If one remote is misplaced or far away you can use the other. You can place remotes in different places in your home on a shelf or table or mounted to a wall. The instructions say you can buy more and add those to your system.EDIT: I've moved the plug on my reading light to my ceiling fan (corded) and the remaining plug to my air purifier.

We recently purchased these to make turning various different lights on and off easier. I love having a remote and it works great! I keep one remote in the bedroom at back of the house, and one in the living room at front of the house (we have a 1 story ranch home). I can be in the bedroom and turn the lights on in the front of house or vice versa. This is the second wireless remote control outlet that I purchased. I had to return the first one because the remote controls didn't work - both of them! I was reluctant to want to try again with the Kasonic but so glad I did. The outlets are numbered 1-5, and so is the remote, super easy to use. The remote has buttons 1-5 on the left for "On" and on the right for "Off" - they have worked every time without issue. The outlets are a good size, but I am still able to use the second outlet. I would definitely buy again if I needed more.

The plugs where bought for my lamps that are hard to turn on because the shade is so narrow to get to the on/off push switch. I opened the package; separated the outlets and plugged them into the wall outlets then turned on the switch at the side of the remote outlet. I then plugged the lamps into the remote outlet and turned on the lamp switch, with battery in remote the setup is ready to use. The red light is on the remote outlet in the wall when the lamp is on. The numbers on the back of the remote outlet correspond to the numbers on the remote.

We had to replace the Stanley remote light product. It was good for it's time, but the remotes eventually failed and there were no replacements available. This product is a refreshing upgrade and very easy to use. It has 5 units and 2 remotes. Installs quickly. You can light the whole house from your bed in the morning, and vice versa at night. So convenient! Perfect for hard to reach plugs. Great price!

These outlets with remotes are wonderful. Easy to use. Don't need to get off the couch to turn off outside Christmas lights anymore. Can use them for lamps inside the house with remote next to the bed. I love that you don't need to be in the "line of sight" of the outlet. Just press the button on or off and works like a charm. Highly recommend!

I purchased these to use in my living room that does not have a ceiling light nor any outlets controlled by switches. Installing the outlets were a snap and I mounted one of the controllers on my wall with 3m Velcro next to our side doorway and the second controller I keep on the couch for those lazy moments when you forget to turn off the lights. I wasn’t sure how many lights I would put around my living room and dining room so this was very nice that I can add additional lamps as I see fit. Highly recommend!

IF the power plug was made to allow rotation it would be perfect. As it is, it blocks 2 other outlets on a power strip depending the orientation of the slots. GREAT range and no lag.
