The Bramble Bay West Indian Original Hot Pepper Sauce | Pack of 6 X 142ml

Encona hot pepper sauce has long been my go-to for almost every meal, so that gets an instant 5 star... Quite spicy, and a very nice flavour which complements any dish. I don't use it on roast dinners, cereal, fruit, drinks, or deserts. Anything else gets a healthy splash.The delivery however was a rare redemption story. I had to refuse the initial delivery, as the bottles had smashed leaving the delicious sauce soaked throughout the box, and a strong smell which was noted by the delivery driver. The bottles had not been packaged with the care this wonderful sauce deserves, just a layer or two of bubble wrap in a small thin cardboard box. I contacted the seller to let them know, and ask if they could package it more thoroughly next time, not honestly expecting it to be any different. To my surprise and joy, I have today received the second batch, and they couldn't have done a better job. A layer of polystyrene wrapping, a layer of card, two layers of bubble wrap, packing peanuts in the bottom of the box, and more bubble wrap on the sides and top... The bottles were in perfect condition, and I'm certain that they will taste even better having been incubated in a safety womb constructed from good customer service.

To echo the previous reviewer, as soon as I saw this deal, I snorted in joy! Then called my mother and asked her how frequently we should get it delivered.Encona goes with everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. But only the Orginal sauce, the latter versions are nice, but in my experience lack the taste/texture/smell/heat balance that sets the Original sauce apart.Caveat - I am a super fan of Encona. I have been known to drink it straight from the bottle, and enjoy it by itself as a snack. I always have at least 2 bottles at hand, so I don't run out.Taste : Spicy (obviously), but also vinegary/salty. Maybe not the best option if you're trying to reduce down your salt levels.Texture : Creamy, with a satisfying gloob as you pour it. Pepper seeds add a contrasting crunch. Sauce doesn't need to be tapped to be poured.Smell : Indescribable. You just have to experience it for yourself.Heat : I can't find an official Scoville rating, so shall just say "FIERY".Conclusion : Addictive sauce, 12 bottles - £10.69, it's around 89p per bottle. You'll be crazy not to purchase it.

This is the hot sauce that we have used in our family for the past 40 years.It is indeed hot and flagrant.Lovely in rice dishes, stews, sauces and as part of marinades for meat.The original and the best.

Fed up with the same mundane and dull everyday meals, well why don't you try this little scorcher on them and i guarantee you that it will spruce them up enough to put a strut back in your step. If you like your food hot - i mean is my tongue on fire hot- then you can't go wrong with this West Indies wonder. Very hot, very tasty and highly recommended to adults, children beware ! . Tip: Don't have too much of it or you could find yourself in A and E, i'm not kidding.
