Good for beginners
Great for starting tatting. A reasonable amount of threat able to be stored. For nicely in the hand (and the bag when travelling).

Lovely set of inexpensive shuttles for tatties lace.
Different colours to differentiate between threads when using different colours or different thicknesses of thread.

Smooth to use
Easy to load with thread, very tactile shape.

Soft to touch
These shuttles were bought as a present. The upside of silicone shuttles is that they are smoother and less abrasive on a very thin thread. The silicone shuttles seem to be just as capable as metal and no dangers of rust or tarnish staining the thread.

1-3 shuttles unuseable.
I've ordered two sets of nine to date. In the first set, one of the shuttles wasn't useable because there was a gap on both ends. (The ends are supposed to be touching. This is what keeps the thread on the shuttle while you're using it. Otherwise, it'd all just fall straight off.) In the second set, two of the shuttles wasn't useable. There is no option to request a replacement. You can only return the item and get a refund. I've used a few of the (working) shuttles for a few days now and they've been great so far. The center 'pole' is glued together. No idea how long these shuttles will last. I'll try to remember to update this review with more data as it occurs. Overall, mediocre product. No wonder it's pretty much the cheapest option available (at the time of this review).

Easy to learn with.
Am learning, so these are a nice cheap way to get into it.

Good in the hand
A good size and can take a lot of thread so less joins. Lightweight and the diffrent colours are useful for identifying the threads on them. The point is useful for unpicking but not so good for making joining picots.
