Easy to apply and seals the lead based paint really well. I then wallpapered on top of it, and it turned out great! It was more expensive, but worth the price to know I am safe in my home.

Restoring/preserving an antique home. This was recommended to me by a pro and it is a fantastic product. Coats and covers well, hardens and provides lead encapsulation. Has almost a glow-like finish. Very satisfied.

Can was badly dented, prior to shipping (box it was shipped in was fine). I have a little left so I just hope the paint stays good, due to bent lid/can Coverage was probably better with this than the Lead Defender Pro paint.

I haven’t tried the other brands of encapsulants, but at this price and for this formula, I have no reason to look elsewhere. We have a 1909 stone colonial that hadn’t been updated since the 60’s. Everything was painted with lead and a lot of it was in bad shape. We’re slowly stripping, encapsulating, and repairing. This product has excellent adhesion, coverage, and application. Repurchasing for all of our remaining encapsulation (there’s a lot!)

I've never used this product before, but decided to use it as it's the most economical way to encapsulate and abate lead paint.Mostly, the application was smooth, but it does behave a bit differently than regular latex paint. However, you don't need to scrape away or sand the old paint (that would defeat the purpose of safely encapsulating the lead paint) and it covers well.I didn't tint the paint though you can with light colors.Overall, I am pleased with the results. It igood to know there is an easy DIY permanent solution to lead paint.

Disliked the short window for returning the unused product. It took a while to get a painter who only used one gallon but by that time I could not return the extra product. The product is very good.

I trusted this as a safe way to encapsulate lead paint in my bathroom. We followed all of the steps for prep (vacuumed with hepa filter vacuum, used Fiberlocks lead cleaner, made sure the area was clean, painted at 72 degrees temp). I then applied two coats of this to the walls, waiting the recommended time between coats. It seems to have actually spread the lead paint!!! Anything painted with this is now testing positive for lead not just where the lead paint was chipping. I have tested several spots and even double checked the tests on other spots (only where LBC was used tested positive). Now I am having to order a different encapsulate and will have to do the whole process again. I do not know if it were a faulty product or the cans I received. They were delivered and the lids were messed up as well as a foreign substance dried on the outside. I’ve included pictures (test swab should be orange, if pink/violet/red then lead is present). Bottom line, I don’t care at this point if it were the product or the specific cans. This product wasted my money, wasted my time, and will now take longer to get it all finished. I will never trust it again.
