Anndason 2 Pcs Adjustable Spokeshave with Flat Base and Metal Blade Wood Working Wood Craft Hand Tool

These form a pair of identical bevel-down adjustable blade spokeshaves which I use to shave wooden parts such as legs and spindles. Though the castings are rough and the sole plates are usually roughly covered in paint as supplied, they can be easily tuned to perform adequately. Before use, they should each be dismantled and the paint cleaned from the sole plates (I used a scraper and a file) so they run more smoothly over the work piece. The blades on mine were sharp enough. Some people might want to lengthen the slot in the securing plate so that it fits snugly lower down in the stock but I have not done that. They do the job for me.

Had to dismantle spoke shave and free up blade and holding plate, reset blade and secure holding plate with the central screw this could only be done with a battery power d screwdriver. Problem with paint adhered to adjustment/ holding plate.Not sure whether the fine adjustment screws achieve very much?Once reassembled spoke shave work well enough for what I wanted to achieve.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered with 2 of them costing less than £14, but boy was I surprised. After a little setting up they cut beautifully. I'm able to achieve 40-50cm long shavings with no effort.The blade is easy to remove for sharpening and replacement blades are easy to come by. I've been using them for the past week and haven't had an issue with them. They aren't perfect but the negatives don't really affect use. The main downsides are the adjustment screws are a little wobbly and the general casting isn't fantastic but both issues don't seem to affect the use.I would definitely recommend them. I gave the other one to my daughter and she loves it too!

Not bad for Monday, little bit difficult to get accurate but OK one set up.

Yes great once you set them up good old fashion method s for wood working.

Arrived sharp ready to use .. one out of alignment and needed intervention to sort ... ok product. ..in use.

The adjustment knobs were off set in the hole and tapping making impossible to adjust the blade, all 4.Too much paint on the base plate meaning it wasn't smooth.Immedatly returned. 5 mins out of the box!
