Not the color represented.
I am a kitchen gadget nut, growing up with an exec chef as a grandmother, I am used to high quality, commercial products and I love trying new things, new techniques, etc. Variety is the spice of life after all ;-) I also have a love of color and "fun" in the kitchen.I wanted to love this. But I didnt, but I didnt hate it.I bought this brush specifically because it appeared to have a purple handle on my screen. Nope. Just a plain stainless handle. Well, I have 4 other silicone brushes with stainless handles, some short, some long, all similar to this brush.Is it a bad brush? No. Just average. Its an average silicone brush in an average color.I will keep it because in my house you can never have enough brushes...I use these things for everything, basting(both in cooking and plating), brushing bread and pastry, they are used for everything, but again, I was hoping for more.

This bastes well, and cleans up easily, but the end pops off, which is a bit annoying.

The end tip piece came off as i took it out of the plastic bag! It's a "Dollar Store Quality" item. I will be returning it, even though it cost only $7.95.

Got in trouble for using the wifey's pink one so I bought my own!
It's awesome for my grilling and smoking and now I won't get in trouble for using my wife's! It's a lifesaver!Stainless steel handle has a good feel, solid and balanced. I like that in a pastry brush.Silicone cleans off easily, even the dark, smokey juices from my briskets and pork shoulders.
