A Reason For Hope: Gaining Strength for Your Fight Against Cancer

Recently my grandmother found out she has cancer again, for the 3rd time. She had been down in the dumps for weeks. I purchased this book and we read it together and I could see her be more hopeful and happier and now she is facing the cancer head on with courage and a hopefulness that I didn't think we would see.

This is a superb book for anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, and for their loved ones. It helps to put things in perspective, and to revive hope for those with the most troubling diagnoses. I would fully recommend it as a must read. It is a very real kind of book, no sweeping grandiose promises for automatic healing, just well researched encouraging statistics, and wise advise on getting things in order and making the most of life, regardless of the eventual outcome.

My wife has been battling brest cancer since 02 , we( she) loves this book , She has found the strenght to look at each day . Even when some news is hard to take . We have given out at lease 20 copy of this book to people she knows whom has had to go and hear those words from the Doc. That says YOU HAVE CANCER, and that there is more in life yet than defeat

I highly recommend this book for anyone going through cancer treatment or a spouse of a person going through cancer treatment. It conveys strong hope and gives the reader the support to face the future. It helped to give me the strength to be more supportive of my wife as she went thought each day. The book helped me with the stress I felt so that I could be calm for my wife

Probably the best book on cancer there is. Encourages faith-based help, which is generally essential with cancer. Lived with cancer 4 years now and need to reread this book.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who is struggling with cancer wether it be themselves or a family member. I just wish I had known about this book when I was first diagnosed with cancer. Now Im recommending this book to a few of my friends who have been recently diagnosed with cancer.....

Inspiring, as I am a cancer patient. It was given to me by a pastor that is my friend. I purchased in order to be able to gift to others. Practical, realistic and hopeful.

I read this book that gives one hope when facing cancer. It gives help to those who are caring for them. I found it gave me the focus I needed when going though a separation after 41 years of marriage. I passed my first book, that I picked up at the local recycle Book Shack, to a friend in the midst of figuring out what treatment course she needed to take. She really didn't want to read it, but I said, at least read the first chapter, I know it will help you. A couple of days later she called and said...I have just finished the first chapter and I have hope now. She finished the book and passed it on to another friend in need of it.Then I got news that my nephew had cancer. I wasn't able to find another book locally so I ordered on Amazon. I came in a really short time and was like new. I posted it to the other end of Canada for my nephew and I suggested my brother and wife read it too, as they are his care givers at this time.Highly recommend this book for everyone to have on hand for when family member or friend has to face the unknown -- cancer.
