Spiritual Warfare for Every Christian (From Dean Sherman)

To appreciate this book requires a perspective not shared by everyone. But none the less valuable.

Challenging, excellent and SOOOO needed in today's world considering the speed and direction in which this world is spiraling towards all "Revelation" has prophesied.... Life is difficult and seems to be getting more difficult every year as our culture pulls further and further away from and disrespecting the teaching of Christ. Christian families often don't seem to be doing any better. The author is excellent in teaching: Our Battle is NOT against Flesh and Blood, but against Spiritual Forces....etc... Anyone whom considers themselves to be a "Follower of Christ, a Believer" should read this book... But it is only for the "serious", those willing to be honest with exactly where they are and open to what the "Bible actually teaches" about "battles, spiritual warfare" etc... We need to learn how to invite, listen to, and follow the guidance of Christ's Holy Spirit (as Christ Himself promised to us) in order to be able to live victoriously and to know how to pray for those we love and care for, our families, marriages, leaders, etc... "Not my Might, Not by Power, BUT By My Spirit Says the Lord!" Amen.

Thank you Dean Sherman for teaching these truths. I attended a conference in Belo Horizonte in the Lagoinha church where you taught spiritual warfare ( first time I heard about it) my husband & I were Missionaries at that time with Bethany (Mpls,MN). Probably in the 70s or 80s. As I intercede for America I remembered & ordered this book. I have already recommended it to 2 families. Thank you

This book is a blessing for me. If you are a christian I recommend this book to you.

This is a fascinating book about how the reality of the spiritual battle going on all around us effects everything in our world and how we NEED to be educated about it and be participating so we can live in victory and be effective in our prayer life and the way we live. It imparts an understanding about the way our world looks and works that makes sense but you just have not probably thought of things this way before. I highly recommend watching or listening to the video/audio series that goes along with each chapter in this book as it will expand your understanding significantly. Highly recommended.

I watched this video teaching as a relatively new Christian (5 years) in the early 1980's and was greatly set in the correct mindset about our place in Christ as a believer...Once told, there's no turning back from this seminal teaching and it's proper focus as one who is a supernatural being in the image of God and of His Kingdom.Dean Sherman makes this matter-of-fact expose' for us to digest and win the world once you've come to understand it's right relationship to us who are 'saved'.Excellent!

I've watched Dean Sherman's dvd series on Spiritual Warfare a few times now and have been immensely challenged and encouraged by it. I just received the book recently, and having both is even better! So practical, Biblical and easy to understand.If you've read the book but haven't seen the dvd series, I'd highly recommend finding it and watching it. If you've seen the dvd series but haven't read the book, the book will help to cement the principals from the dvd teachings. The content is similar but not exact.

Every Christian should read this book. It is full of very important spiritual information.

I have know Dean four years although have not seen him in year either; but this is his life and it was awesome to read it again and be chanllanged.

I wanted to give it four and a half stars but anyway.I found this book very inspirational and it helped me during a rough time. It contains a lot of wisdom in my opinion. I don't agree with everything the author believes but i think that most people would agree that this book is something very useful to their Christian walk.

This is a fantastic book. Easy to read. Full of info based on experience as well as the Word. I would recommend the book for every Bible study group, however :the dvd series is just too dry. We couldn't finish the dvd series. The book, on the other hand, I'd do it again anytime.
