Good book, lots of interesting details on physiology..... but dear gods, did the author even LOOK at the cover prior to printing? That's an iguana, abd there's a smaller photo of a water dragon. Not a good way to incite interest or create trust in a book about a totally different species of reptile!

Great starter book before the expense of purchasing everything. A wealth of information to begin your exotic pet adventure. Thanks

I am not sure what the whole of the book entails, but I promise you I will never purchase this book and neither should anyone else. Any book that is talking about BEARDED DRAGONS and has an Iguana on the cover and a Chinese Water Dragon in the Introduction, should not be trusted for advice. Bearded Dragons (typcially the Pogona Vitticeps is the common captive bred you will see for sale) have completely different care than an Iguana or Chinese Water Dragon! It is clear by the cover and introduction this guy is lumping all lizards together and that is not safe for the lizards. Anyone who reads this and thinks "Well, now I am getting an Iguana!!" and then it dies from the wrong care, has this Author to hold accountable and also partly yourself. The internet has a plethora of information and if you limit yourself to one source, and don't verify the facts with other sources, then you need to start before you hurt an animal. Before, after, and even now, I have went to several, SEVERAL sources to make sure I got correct information on the exact animal (pogona vitticeps) I wanted and have now. Just please, no one buy this. Even if the information is correct for actual Bearded Dragons, you are fueling the likelihood of misinformation for other lizard species.
