SAKURAMicron Pen 01 .25mm Brown 1, .25 Mm

This is a non-refillable plastic pen with a metal clip. I bought the 0.25 size in brown for a class. The ink is acid free, archival. This pen does make a small dot if you keep it on the paper too long as you can see from the enclosed photo. I tend to use too much pressure which is eventually going to wear down the tip. It does not smear, and it releases ink evenly. It does not have a lot of drag when you are using it. The ink is based on pigment, not the dyes found in many pens. This gives it more stability as pigment molecules are about 100 times larger than dye molecules. The ink does not bleed or smear and makes a very crisp line. I will be using this on fabric. If using it on fabric, you are supposed to prewash the fabric prior to using the pen. The fabric is not supposed to be washed once the pen has been applied. I know fabric artists that do not launder fabric first and get good results. I think that prewashing may create long term stability, but am not sure. You can never go wrong with Pigma Micron Pens! But I have finally found a seller who shipped the advertised Brown and not the Sepia pens! Thank you! Love these pens for Zentangle or ZIA’s. Clean lines, waterproof, archival, lots of ink. Nibs are long lasting if you are not too heavy handed. I’ve ran out of ink long before destroying a pen. I mostly work in black ink, needed this particular brown for a specific project. I had it in a set, but I enjoyed the project so much, I knew I would be repeating it often, hence the need for more of just this color pen for a specific effect.

Great pen. Writes smoothly even on fabric. I used it to transfer embroidery patterns.

Was looking for a nice brown pen for thank you notes and have been very pleased with the Pigma Micron Pen. Writes well and looks great.

This marker is very nice but it is a lighter shade of brown that I thought it would be. This isn't going to work for the artwork I purchased this to do.

I have used these pens for years, needed the brown color and couldn't find it at any stores around me. I used the pen for about a minute and it is dried up. I could not get it to work at all. I'm very disappointed because it was to be used for some craft items for my daughters wedding.
