Firecore FP-3G 3-Beam Green Laser Bob Alignment laser

I'm an entertainment/show production rigger. The original PLS-3, with the green dot, was the perfect tool for guys like me. The switch wasn't great, but it was bright, accurate, and compact. The company sold out to Fluke, and now, the new version is much bulkier, and not as bright. [Day One] This Firecore has a nice, bright green dot. It's crisp and clear, and seems to match accuracy with the PLS. My one complaint is that the gimbal is very slow to settle. About 5 sec, compared to 1-2 sec, for the PLS. Bonus feature, is that the gimbal can be locked for storage/transport. The battery compartment has a good, easy latch to open and close. Seems robust, and secure. The housing is of similar shape to the PLS, but it's an inch wider. Wearing this in a belt pouch won't be terrible, but the one that is included is much too large. Gonna need to find something else, to make it practical for load-ins.Expect a follow up review at a later date.

This level is pretty great. There are no directions, but its pretty easy- just add the batteries it came with. My only challenge was figuring out which way the batteries go in, there was no indication on which way. Turns out the middle battery goes in the opposite direction. When I got that, it worked great. the green light is bright enough and i love that i can see that light on 3 different directions. Makes leveling very easy.

I got this and it works very well for the room I just remodeled. The lasers make lining up studs or measuring much easier.
