I know that I've had a lot of different travel pillows over the years, and truthfully none were really satisfactory. Mostly I didn't like the bulkiness, and having to deal with the presence of the pillow in my luggage all the time I wasn't even using it. The inflatable pillows are a good idea that doesn't work. Now that I will have to take a very long plane trip,and after reading comments, I have chosen this one. It still seems like it is bulky and that doesn't make me happy, but maybe it will function well. It's so sad that one needs to take a whole array of paraphernalia to have any comfort in standard plane seat. If it turns out to be good, I will let you know.

Took the Comfy Commuter on a multi-day car trip, and it was great - made it easy and comfortable to sleep when I was not the driver. Unlike a blow-up pillow, you can easily adjust how snug the pillow is around your neck - keeping your head from nodding and preventing a sore neck. It truly cradles your neck. Now I keep it in my car all the time. I have the version that includes the blanket, and I consider it part of my car earthquake preparedness kit.It is a bit bulky for airline travel, but the attached carrier pouch can be hung on the outside of your carry-on/roller bag, which is fine if you are a commuter (and the fact that the pouch is part of the pillow means you don't have to worry about losing it). Probably would not take on an extended vacation if I was going to be lugging my luggage from place to place using public transportation. Otherwise, a terrific product.
