This battery is perfect for the dyson. They should come this way considering the expense....My wife loved her dyson vac when I was running, but the battery always fell short. Shortly after a year the battery that came with the vacuum had a problem and was useless. I found this battery and though the extra capacity might make the vacuum better for my wife's needs. I can tell you, she loves this battery. She said it makes the vacuum run the way she expected it to and actually gets through he cleaning jobs. As long as she is happy😊. Fast forward 4 months and the battery failed. Not sure what happened, but I contacted the company and within an hour they had a new on shipped out. No hassle, very nice and efficient. Within two days my wife's favorite vacuum is up and going and she is happy as can be. It's her favorite vacuum if I didn't mention that already..... out of 6. So I can't recommend this product and company enough.The battery is a direct replacement. It only takes removing three screws and then replacing them. Take off the basket and there are two screws under there. The third is in the handle at the top of where you hold it. Slide out the old one, slide in the new one, replace screws and you're done. Anyone with the ability to use a screw driver can do it.

This battery was a snap to install and worked from the get go. The suction seems at least on par with the factory battery, if not more so. I haven’t had it long enough or worked it hard enough (as yet) to comment on the longevity of the battery or the length of the battery run time. I trust it will shine in those departments as well.Edit: I bought this in Oct, 2020. It’s now early March, 2021. The battery will not hold a charge. The Dyson has been very lightly used during this time (and in fact, during the entire life of the V7)—perhaps a total of 6-8 times. In those 6-8 uses, only a time or two did I run the battery down all the way, about 15-20 min of mixed use on regular and maximum suction. Could there be an off chance that something is wrong with the Dyson itself? Maybe, but the last time I used it, it was fine. Now it stays on for a second and goes off. When placed on the charging base, the blue charging light goes off within 2 minutes. I would NOT recommend this battery. I’ll be getting rid of this unit and on the hunt for a less expensive unit with a reliable and long lived battery.

I got the battery and installed it on 8/23/20 and the runtime was at least double the original. During the last charge I noticed the indicator LED went out a few minutes after plugging it in. I didn’t think much of it but the next time I went to use the Dyson it was completely dead. I installed the original battery I still had sitting around it was able to charge and work which verifies the charger and the Dyson itself. If the battery would have held up it would have been more than worth the money. Battery DIED 1/15/2021. I did retry the battery to make sure I didn’t do something stupid and it won’t work. Checked each cell of the pack and found one cell had opened.

I ordered a refurbished Dyson v7 Motorhead, when I opened the box, NO BATTERY. Rather than go through the hassle of returning the unit which was my only option. Amazon support provided me with a discount, enough to purchase this replacement battery. Great deal, battery arrived, I charged it for 3 hours as recommended, it fit my v7 Motorhead perfectly. On a few instances, it seem to wriggle loose but I realized I wasn't inserting the battery securely. Works great, I love the vacuum and the battery without any problems. No warming or issues, I love the LED while it charges, not sure the original Dyson has this. Battery also came with two extra filters that fit the Motorhead. Even though the filters rinse clean, you have a spare to insert and use immediately while the other dries. Great purchase, would buy again.

Easy to install and so far so good. Irritating that my expensive Dyson battery didn't last a year; however, this battery seems to be the perfect replacement. I have only used and charged for a month now so may update my review later on after I've put it to more use. It does seem to last much longer than the original battery but I haven't actually timed it.

Initially I thought it was a great replacement--cheap, last as well as the original battery. However, this battery stopped holding charges after about 18 months of use. The Dyson battery also suffered the same longitivity issue. So technically I could buy two of these for the price of the Dyson battery but get up to 3 years of life.

Bought in November 2020, dead in may 2021. Initially enjoyed increased battery life and felt good about my purchase. One day my vacuum was not responsive. When plugged in, the charge light would turn on and then off. Checked the battery with a multimeter and confirmed it was dead. Replaced with a new battery and everything is working fine. Avoid this one.

Buying this was a last ditch effort to save my beloved dyson v7 cordless vacuum. Not only does it work but the run time is more than double the original battery life when it was brand new! Now, I have to stop vacuuming because my trigger finger gets tired and not because it needs a charge. The Dyson battery brand new only got me through 3 rooms before requiring a charge. This has gotten me through the entire first floor of my house AND the stairs! I was hoping it would come close to the original. I had no expectation of it being better. WOW!
