I was tired of almost being run over when walking at night. After having to jump out of the way of a car in a parking lot (despite wearing a reflective vest!) I decided I needed more. This thing is bright. Almost too bright; I definitely wouldn’t want it brighter. I can tell cars see me from a long ways away because they stop for me at intersections so that I can cross the street. They stop for me more often than during the day because a walking “Christmas tree” at night is more visible than a pedestrian during the day. I feel much safer wearing it

I checked with our children last week and they all love it - that it's rechargable
I gave these at Christmas to our 20 something children after a friend walked into a meeting wearing one, fresh from her bike ride. She couldn't stop raving about it. I checked with our children last week and they all love it - that it's rechargable, that they can wear it for jogging or biking, and that it can be used alone for biking, but when it's really dark makes a great secondary light to the ones on their bikes. It's sturdy and cool looking.

The best way to be seen while riding at night
I am a dedicated bike commuter who regularly rides at night and wants to be seen by cars. The Crossbelt has been great. I wear it as a sash over my shoulder and bag allowing me to have bright flashing lights visible to cars and others in all directions. It is very easy to put on and turn on and is super light weight. That many people have yelled compliments to me about the Crossbelt as I ride by is a testimonial to how cool, innovative, and effective this product it is.

Great visibility
Bought this for visibility while running and walking the dog at night. I've gotten a lot of comments from neighbors and other runners about how great it is - very visible and with all the different modes you can really stand out or be a little more subdued but still visible. I like that it also is reflective for extra visibility and in case the charge wears down (which happened to me but I was happy that a few lights stayed on so I wasn't left with nothing). I have a little trouble turning it off sometimes, not sure what magic sequence of pushing and holding the button I'm doing incorrectly, but other times it turns off easily. I also haven't seen the brake light feature but I haven't done too much experimenting with that while running to see if it will activate. I got the Small-medium and use it just as a belt, and it would not be long enough to use in the crossbelt mode for me unless I sized up. Not sure if that would be good for running though so I'm happy with it as a waist belt only. I'd like one for my dog too :)

Thumbs up!
A friend gave us one, now looking to purchase another - it's that great! Our daughter (6) loves playing with it (inside and outside) and now insists on having in her room as nightlight so we've lost our outdoor safety tool! Getting another for that so we can cover both bases. Amazing for night time visibility (on our case more walking than biking). Highly recommend!

I feel much safer walking my dog
Coincidentally, I ordered my LumaGlo belt just a few hours before a pedestrian walking his dog in the dark was hit and killed not far from my house. He had been crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. Needless to say, when I heard the news, I was grateful that my LumaGlo belt was on its way.I regularly walk my dog in the dark, as well as in fog and rain (I live in the Portland, Oregon, area so we have lots of darkness, fog and rain this time of year) and had been using a retro-reflective vest, but was still concerned that I might not be seen from every angle. There's no danger of that with the LumaGlo, which has very bright lights.Plus, the lights mean that joggers and other walkers sharing the sidewalk can see us coming toward them or that they are approaching us from behind. Obviously, reflective vests work only if there's light reflecting off them. The LumaGlo is also a lot easier to put on than a reflective vest. I know putting a vest on doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you're getting dressed immediately after stumbling out of bed and you're not quite awake, it's really nice to have something that doesn't need untangling and that your jacket hood doesn't get caught in.It's also comfortable to wear. I have not had it long enough to comment on durability but it looks to be well made.1/23/18: Update. Still loving my LumaGlo. Before I got it, only about 1/3 of drivers stopped when I was waiting to enter a crosswalk in the dark, even though I was wearing a retro-reflective vest. Since I've been wearing the LumaGlo on my daily early-morning walks, only one car has failed to stop. Also I only need to recharge it once a week, so that's convenient.

Lightweight and Extra Bright
As soon as my LumaGlo belt arrived I was excited to try it out. I loved how lightweight the belt was and the rechargeable battery was a definite bonus. The belt folds up easily and is small enough to fit in a pocket or bag. The different light options were a really nice feature and I felt extremely safe with the extra bright LED lights. The cons, the buckle was difficult to use and so is the adjustable strap, but then I got used to it after a few uses. Will definitely use it for my evening runs, but also thinking of ways to build it into my son's halloween costume too

I love this thing and am sending a link to several ...
I recently purchased a lumaglo running belt. I am running again and quite often after work its either dark or starting to get dark. I used to use a headlamp while running but it costantly moved around my head . With this lumaglo belt I put it on and don't even think about it. I have not been able to watch myself run but I believe that as I slow down the red light starts blinking faster and faster notifying Automobiles of my location. I love this thing and am sending a link to several of my running friends.kevin McKenzie
