Well Made
I had trouble finding a sweet spot for a new handtruck. Lots of choices and reviews. This guy was buried behind lots of others. It is a combo of steel and aluminum, sturdy and well made, operates easily. The deal maker was the wheel assembly. Solid axle, dense tires. The foldable wheels are a weak point in allthe other models, plastic housing around wheels break or snap when it meets heavier loads, not on this one.The only con is the weight at 13lbs. Tradeoff for quality. Cost is a little more for similar load models, worth the extra $. Also made in Vietnam, not China, which I think is better quality product.

Good LIGHT DUTY hand truck...
Safco Products Hide-Away Collapsible Utility Hand TruckI bought this small hand truck specifically to carry a trumpet case and accessory bag between my car and where our groups play. For that, it works well.I had been using a 600 lb. capacity full-sized collapsible truck, but that thing weighs nearly 50 pounds, is huge and its folding wheels are difficult to deploy. The wheels are always in place, and folding the 14 gauge steel platform out and raising the handle takes about 5 seconds. I’m 6/2 and the height of the Safco with the handle up is such that I don’t have to lean over to roll it. Raising or lowering the handle is easily accomplished using the wire “lock” at the hand truck’s mid-point. The steel wheels with solid 6" diameter rubber tires are attached with cotter pins to a 5/8" solid steel axle – see Customer Images. When folded, the 13 pound Safco is so small that it fits under a standard folding chair or stows behind the driver’s seat in my SUV. Ergo, the principle benefit of this hand truck is petite size and weight.Safco claims a 250 pound capacity for this hand truck. I weigh 235 lbs. and rolling me around on this device would probably be the death of it. Use a full sized hand truck to move heavy things and the Safco will last for years.

No other Hand Truck or dolly comes close to this one.
If you are looking to a multi-purpose handcart/ two wheel hand-truck that is compact enough to place on the passenger seat of your car, but still be strong enough for the job, the Safco 4050 Hide-Away Convertible Hand Truck is the only one for you. I most highly recommend it. No other hand truck folds up so compactly.I researched on-line and in local retail stores trying to find a two wheeler that will do multiple things. I couldn't decide what type of hand truck to get until I saw this one. I was extremely impressed by the versatility it has transforming from a two wheeler dolly to a flat bed cart. After receiving the product and testing it out I found a few things that I want to point out. Unlike a solid framed hand truck, this one will flex where there are sliding pieces. There is nothing to lock them up solid in this design. This is NOT a design flaw or defect in workmanship, it's just the nature of things when you expect so much out of one device. I have thought of having ad-on side bars or some clamps, but it really isn't necessary. The unit is certainly strong enough for use and doesn't feel like its going to fall apart. And I do mean its "very" strong. As a cart I can stand on the sliding joint, all 285 pounds of me, and felt it could take even more weight. The only objection I would say about the design is in the hand truck/two wheeler usage. The front toe plate is designed to flip up and down. There is nothing locking it into place to hold it at 90 degrees. When using the toe plate to slide under a cardboard box, you need to make sure it's getting under the box you are trying to pick up and not getting pushed back up to the folded position. Again it takes some thought when using it knowing you can't use the plate to scrape under anything you want to lift. In the end I love this purchase and strongly recommend it to anyone.

Multi purpose but at a cost- I do recommend
I purchased this specifically to move equipment and luggage in/out of hotels. It's very portable and flexible (hard truck/utility/flatbed). It does everything well it I wouldn't dare put 300# on it. The versatility comes at a price. For several suitcases it's badass and makes lugging your stuff through a hotel easy-breezy. If you're hauling equipment into a venue, again badass. That said it's a lightweight cart designed to be portable and it feels jenky, but it's sturdy. Don't be fooled, if you need a magliner, get a magliner. If you're looking for a multipurpose cart that's small, functional, super convenient and practical this is your buy.

Other folding carts can't compare
Had one years ago, and since have suffered through numerous wannabe folding carts that may lie flatter but can't hold up to regular use at the manufacturers' load ratings. Glad to have this one back.

Made myself a fishing cart
The reviews were wrong. This is a wonderful cart. I needed something compact and lightweight for my fishing cart build. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Horrible quality control
Quality control leaves nothing to be desired. Given the price and spec, was hoping for a sturdy truck; no even close. As shown in pics, the angles of the hinges/folding mechanism don't even match. Thought it was assembled wrong so I tried to fix it. Soon realized that the actual metal hinge was shaped wrong. Once unfolded, the platform did not distribute weight adequately due to the misalignment. Also, one of the wheel was also wobbly. At the end, I can't even tell if it's a design issue or just plainly put together badly. I returned it and got a replacement from Canadian Tire for less than one-third the price of this. Not aluminum, but at least it works!

Rust showing and new condition being questioned.
Listed as new but it already has rust on parts of it and the wheels look dusty. I don't know if that's from long storage or if it was a return. It doesn't feel as sturdy as it looks and am skeptical if it can hold the listed 250lbs. I bought this to move goods to and from the condo which may include heavy appliances and furniture at some point. But shipping something that clearly doesn't look new is bad
