Superior single-origin Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, strong, fragrant, and fruity. Marketed as ethical, I don't know if true, but certainly the company is owned by and hired Sri Lankan people.

Disappointing. Too Sharp a Flavor.
Having lived in the high tea country of Sri Lanka, I was excited to see that Amazon was offering Dilmah tea for sale. Several years ago, one of the company founders, Mr. Fernando, speak about his quest for marketing a single source tea, as opposed to a blended tea. However, the bag of Dilmah which I bought did not bring back memories of the exceptional, high country tea I used to drink in Sri Lankan. The dust quality of the leaves was not the issue. Rather, the taste was somewhat bitter, not smooth, even when tempered with milk and sugar. I even experimented with reducing the tea per cup and reducing the steep time. Same result. It may be an apostasy, but I actually prefer the yellow boxed Lipton tea which I have bought in the supermarkets here in Florida.

very disappointed with the product, almost powder form, no tea leaves found in this bag, I bought this product in Europe many times, much better quality. not buying again

Cut too fine
I first found this brand overseas where I fell in love with black tea. The black tea sold in grocery stores in the U.S. does not compare. This tea brews quickly and has good flavor. However it is different than other loose teas because it is cut so finely. It is like the tea found in bags, but even using a fine strainer, I end up with floaty pieces of tea. Because of that, I will not buy again.

Finely shredded loose tea.
It's much more finely shredded than I was expecting. Also, it wasn't clear from the descriptions I read that the pillow they were referring to was the whole package. Some round tea bags may be called pillows but there are no tea bags in this pack. As it happens loose tea is what I was looking for anyway so that's also fine but one would think someone would say that's exactly what it is somewhere in the description.
