My senior dog who very nearly died from hepatitis has been on this during recovery and for almost two years since and is doing great! The vet said don't change it, it is probably part of the reason he is thriving. When he's finicky, I can encourage him to eat by holding a spoonful near his snout and he will usually lap it up afterward. Although, consistent finickiness may merit a change, during which times I've fed Castor and Pollux "Ultramix Whole Chicken Thigh, Fresh Cut Carrots & Sweet Potatoes Entree Grain-Free for Adult Dogs", which is probably just as healthy and maybe a bit more appetizing. The Ultramix contains a very cooked thigh bone inside a whole chicken thigh, which you can carefully remove and smash into paste or leave out, if you're worried about your pooch eating it.

The price of this was in the ballpark of what I typically pay for a case of 12 cans. However, it actually was only for 2 cans. I didn’t read the product description closely enough so that’s partially on me - but I think this seller is hoping/counting on people making the same mistake to line their pockets. I wish there were more negative reviews as an overall bad/mediocre rating would have led me to look closer before ordering. Doing what I can to lower the overall score so others don’t make the same mistake.I actually love all of the varieties of Castor & Pollux Organix I have gotten for my dogs but I have to give 1-star due to the ridiculous cost per can price.

Well, if we’re going to be paying for designer dog food, this is as good as any. Our dogs report the flavor is just fine, and appreciate us spoiling them with organic ingredients despite not proving to make them any healthier it even be biologically different. Oh well. They seem to like it and it makes me feel better, like I’m doing something special.

Our doggie Leo loves his yummy flavorful food he gets so excited for dinner time... I would highly recommend Castor& Pollux products.. wonderful!

Kind of upset thought this was going to be more than ONE can for 10$

We have researched high and low, unless you're cooking the food yourself you can't find healthier. The only reason for the deduction of a 5 star is because it is packaged in a BPA can.

Ordered what I thought was a case - received 1 can. Called, complained & received refund. Rep told me she would send a case, received 1 can again. This scenario went on 1 more time with exactly same results. What a headache. Definitely not worth it.
