Ecos Living 14 Inch High Rustic Solid Wood Platform Bed Frame with Headboard/No Box Spring/No Squeak (Brown, King)

I love my new bed. It looks great. It’s comfortable, sturdy, a good buy for the price, was easy to put together, was delivered early, came in good shape, easy to clean. Can’t say enough about it!

Received with 2 sets of rails for the same side. I modified the extra to make it work, easy to put together, decent appearance , wobbles a bit even put together super tight, middle of the road product

I am quite the handy man and I, and another friend who is a construction contractor, put this bed together following the instructions completely. The first time I had sex in the bed the center support board and all three center legs broke. The center piece of wood that stretches down the center (the support bar that runs across the center) cracked and all three center wooden support legs bent (the center leg with the screws bent the screws). This being a KING size frame should have a stronger center support bar as it runs the length of the frame. The QUEEN frame I purchased has a steal support bar down the center and has been great. One would think that because the KING frame is so much wider the support device across the center of the frame should also be made of steel rather than a thin piece of wood. I'm not returning this frame as it is simply way too much trouble to take apart, box and resend and just not worth the time, effort and energy. I was able to purchase another piece of wood and steal and recreate the center support along with a cinder block in the very center of the frame to proved additional support. This KING size bed frame is not well designed. The center piece of wood is too thin and does not provide the kind of support needed for the width of a KING size bed. My spouse and I were very lucky that we were not harmed when this happened as we both fell to the center of the floor. Luckily the mattress provided a softer landing. It did however, scare the hell out of us when it happened. This KING size bed frame is dangerous and the manufacturer and the seller should either prepare a better design for the center support or be prepared for an eventual law suit as a result of someone being seriously harmed as a result of this poorly designed KING size frame!

The wood stain is more like a coating, but it is not a huge issue.

I guess, you can't expect too much from a bed that costs $227... It was relatively easy to assemble it, but after two weeks of relatively light use (a 136-lbs person sleeping on it), the real problems started: the bed makes horrible squeaky sounds and one of the tree support legs (in the central line) just broke because of its flimsy design.By the way, it is not a "Solid Wood Platform", only some tiny parts are solids.09/13 Update: This bed seems to be disintegrating on its own. I am done with tightening almost all screws every week. It was a total waste of money...

This would have been a nice frame except...they bed shipped with 2 side pieces that were for assembling the right side of the bed. When I tired locating the suppliers contact info I couldn't find any information. Good thing mu father in law is good at "engineering" solutions. The bed has held up as extra wood and screws were used to turn the right side rail piece I to a left side rail piece. I would not order again nor reccommend.
