Antler Art for Baskets and Gourds

I enjoy using antlers in my gourd art and basketry. Im always on the lookout for new ideas. This book had some tips that came handy for me. However I was disappointed in the lack of step by step photographs for the projects. I'm one of those people who can not translate written directions well. I need step by step photos to make things simple for me to understand and a single photo of the completed project isn't enough. I have enough hands on experience that I can usually figure out what they mean and how to do what they want me to do but more photos would make a good book even better. The gallery of antler art is a wonderful inspiration. Lots of great ideas using different items. I feel the money spent on this book is well worth it and that it is a great addition to my library

These are the most fulfilling and expressive art forms I've ever been involved with. Even if someone doesn't use antler to enhance their gourds or baskets, there are plenty of other ideas making the purchase of this book worthwhile.There are 20 projects along with so much information and "eye candy" in this book. Just what I was looking for. It starts with the basics and works into more complicated antler basket projects. Love the gallery in the back with a variety of finished antler and gourd items.

I love looking at all the baskets and I got several ideals from this book. Well worth the money. I would recommend it to all makers and lovers of baskets.
