Most receivers can use SPDIF or other digital for ZONE 2 and revert to analog when the 5.1 or 7.1 feature of your receiver is being used. To ensure that your can always use your other ZONEs, use this cable for your SPDIF connections. Receivers vary, consult your manual. You will likely have to configure your receiver to associate the SPDIF and Analog L-R jacks you use to same device. The Orange/Yellow wire on cable is a proper 75 ohm conductor suitable for SPDIF and Composite Video. The Red and White are normal L-R audio cable. While you can use this cable as a Stereo Audio/Video cable, or dubbing cable, the emphasis here is using it as a SPDIF cable with analog audio support. Most A/V cables do not have a proper 75 video cable for the yellow wire, in general cheap cables will work for video but are definitely undesirable for SPDIF use. In reality, this cable would also be preferred over an improper AV cable. The analog L-R portion of the cable is reasonable quality. If you have a Denon Receiver and you are using Denon-Link then this type of cable is pretty much mandatory if you desire to use ZONE 2 / 3 features. Quality Construction - Medium-Weight for most set-top devices.
