Teach Your Kids about the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise
Geof Smith’s “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” (Little Golden Book) adapts the third entry in the Skywalker Saga. The galaxy is at war with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala in the middle of it. Anakin and Padmé work to hide their relationship from the Jedi Council while Chancellor Palpatine grooms Anakin as his Sith apprentice. The Clone Wars rage across the galaxy, clouding everything in the Force and eventually turn even Anakin and Obi-Wan against each other. Patrick Spaziante’s art beautifully captures the action in the style readers of Little Golden Books expect with a sense of wonder that will appeal to younglings as their parents read to them. Overall, this is a great way to introduce a Padawan to the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

Love sharing Star Wars with my kids!
I love these books because they allow me to share Star Wars with my kids even though they're not old enough (at least in our house) to watch the movies yet. I'm a huge fan and these books capture the overall story pretty well. They're easy enough for the kids to follow, yet deep enough to explain some of the trickier plot points of the saga. I was a little disappointed they won't get to experience all of the various "reveals" in the movies since they know them already, but it was worth it to me to build their love for the series while they're still young.

Really more for the parents than for the kids
My son enjoys it when I read these Star Wars golden books to him, but it's mostly because he likes the funny voices and excitement that I put into the readings. However, the pain truth is that there's way too much happening in most of these movies (especially the prequels) to effectively condense into this format. If you're an adult fan of the movies, then it's really cool to be able to share these with your kids. But I don't know that most kids will honestly be able to follow what's going on very well.

If your kiddo loves Star Wars this is a good series of Golden Books to have
Kiddo loves Star Wars, this series is a hit although the characters look so benign / comical that it can be a little distracting. We figured it's because little kids are reading them. Nonetheless, they're all a hit.The story lines mirror the movies so it's easy to follow along and the stories are short enough and "light" enough that they are easy bedtime stories, and great for young ones who are reading / learning to read.

Wonderful to Own!
Terrific color and artwork. Super cute. Tell's the story of what happened in Revenge of the Sith if your little one isn't old enough yet to watch it on TV or Home Video. Great price, great buy. Very happy.

I gave this whole series to my son on this ...
I gave this whole series to my son on this third birthday. Due to all of the strange names and the chosen vocabulary, I had to explain a lot to him the first few times we read the books. But now, I can read them as they are written and he loves them.

Excellent synopsis of each movie and small-child friendly (not very violent)
My son is nearly 8 and really into Star Wars right now, and he LOVES this entire series of Little Golden Books! They’re such a perfect (though of course very brief) synopsis of each of the movies, so he gets the pleasure of the entire movie in a short story. We’ve read other Star Wars books but though they’re similar, I find they often miss key points that these books cover well. And they’re small child friendly because they never actually say that someone has died (which my son rolls his eyes at and says “He killed him, Mom”) they just say “defeated” or something similar. I can’t wait until the final Star Wars movie comes out and then they make the Little Golden Book version of it for us to purchase!
