I am writing this based on my research and before I receive mine on May 4th. I am saying "OK" and will update next week. I have other memory cards used in devices and then upgraded to a larger card size so I bought this so they can still be used.It is a Reader and Writer.AThere have been questions. Before posting a question read the entire write up in; "Product Details", "Product Description" or do a " Search Customer Reviews" at the bottom of the " Most Recent Customer Reviews" near the middle of the page.1. Reads all Cards Except Smart Media. I have taken types from the display card it comes in.SD, SDHC, M2, MMC, RS MMC, MS, MS MAGICGATE, MS MEMORY Select Function, MS PRODUO MAGICGATE, MMC 4.0, MICRO SD, MS PRO ULTRA ii, XD, XD-H, XD-M, MS DUO, MS PRO DUO, MS PRO, MS ROM, MS PRO MAGIC GATE, MS DUO MAGIC GATE, RS MMC 4.02. Runs on the Windows OS up to and including Windows 8. Questions about running on a manufacturing company, if running Windows, it will run.3. Want an explanation, go to http://www.abcproducts.com/index.php?route=faq/faq&fpath=7#faq_24. This is a very good video. Close attention to the MICRO card, it goes in upside down.4. I have looked at other readers and this one has the largest number of cards listed to read. (I am not associated with ABC, just someone that researches what I buy before buying it).5. Questions about music, photos, etc. Answer is, if you can put it on the computer hard drive then it can be put on any memory card.I look forward to using this with the four cards I have. It will be easier to carry personal information when leaving the house.UPDATE May 05, 2015:I upped the stars to four because it really reads and writes to the MicroSD & SD cards I put in. I am now coping my Nokia 32gb MicroSD to a 128gb MicroSD.I was looking forward to using the Reader/Writer but now I am very disappointed.1. It is a little confusing, at first look. The MicroSD card does indeed insert upside down, the contacts turned up. Now, which is up? The company title is in RED letters and is the up position, making that the top.2. The SD card inserts contacts down. Putting the MicroSD card in can be a little frustrating, since it is so small, Dime size. The slot for the MSD is under the SD card slot.3. The big disappointment is that I put in both an SD and a MicroSD cards and the only one that showed in Windows explorer was the first card that I put in, which was the SD card. I decided to test that fact and inserted the MSD first then the SD and the result was the same. I was going to put the other cards I have in the reader at the same time and make the 32gb extra I have useable. Inserting the cards in and out can wear the contacts and make the card not useable after a time.If anyone knows how or why this one is not reading at the same time please let me know. I will be holding on to this for a bit and trying other cards I have to be sure I am right. Maybe ABC Products will say something.

I was surprised to find a Fuji Film 4 MB Smart Media Digital Memory Card in a desk drawer one fateful day. I did not have any clues as to what was on it and no card reader. I began the search for a reader that would work.A local store had a device that would "work with anything," guaranteed. Therefore, I did not bother to keep the box after I bought it. There was no slot for this media. I then borrowed a friend's reader, but again, no luck. Yes, totally frustrated, I asked for help. (That is what I do when all else fails.)I was sent the link to this little beauty. It was not expensive, and I was ready to try anything. I bought it. I plugged it in a few minutes ago, and bingo, my system recognized it immediately. Yeah! No drivers to download.I could not figure out where to put the card though. The big drawback on this device is no documentation, and with only four slots, it is not intuitive. (That is the minus one star.) The four slots read multiple cards.I studied the Amazon picture, and I figured out which one worked. I inserted my card. LEDs lit. It worked! After opening my Paint Shop Pro v.7.0, clicking on open file and locating which one of my peripheral devices was labeled for the device (F), I finally could see the pictures.There it was DCIM. I opened the sub directory to find 100_FUJI and I clicked on that subdirectory. Much to my chagrin, the priceless pictures did not exist. They had all been deleted.However, I finally knew. It was okay that it was blank it was not on my mind now.It is compact (two inches by three and three quarter's inches, about one-half inch high), shiny silver, with lights that let you know it is working. PWR will come on when your computer recognizes the peripheral device. Depending on what card you insert, the other lights will provide information: CF/MD, MS, SD/MMC, SM/XO/ and ACT.I am very happy with this card reader, and recommend it.Victoria Tarrani

This product does what is says just fine. It simply plugged into my MacBook Pro and worked no issues, nothing to install.The only downside to this product (and the reason for one star fewer than 5) is that there are no directions! You are left to figure out how to use it on your own.Here are what I would say in terms of directions:Note on the top of the product it lists in 2 pairs the types of cards the device supports. The letters on the left of each pair indicate what the top slot on each side accepts. The lettering on the right of each pair of words indicate which cards the bottom slots on each side accept. Slightly deceiving however as the pattern does not continue within the slot. For example in the SM/XD marking it is the XM card that gets pushed into the left of the slot (bottom slot left side and left side of that slot). Also deceiving is that the cards (at least the XD one as that is all I used the device for) go in upside down not face side up as the image on this Amazon page indicates.Also not that the cards are a snug fit and go in so far into the device that only a sliver of the card is left sticking out for you to grab onto with your nail and pull it out.That said great product. Fast download - much faster than when done from my camera itself. Definitely will keep this cheap little thing handily.Hope my directions helped...

Its crazy how many different kind of memory things there are and this read almost all of them

The product arrived timely new in blister pack; Package contained two parts; the reader and its cable. All I did was attach the cable to the appropriate devices and place a SD card into the appropriate slot of the reader and I was able to easily view and manage my card's stored files. The one draw back is only one card can be read by the reader at a time, but it its also fair to say about all other card readers. If there is one on the market that can read and display multiple cards at one time I would like to know about. Otherwise, this is a very good product and I recommend it.

Lecteur de carte universel, très nombreux formats de cartes reconnus, et fonctionne parfaitement en le branchant sur un port USB. Je recommande ce produit au rapport/prix très intéressant.
