Peter, Family and Friends
The classic tales are the best. We who are older can remember when the stories were read to us and how scared we felt when Peter went under the fence. Now reading these stories to young ones, we get to express our love for the classic bunnies. There are 15 stories nestled inside the book. The illustrations are hand drawn and amazing. I picked the most famous story to share but I thought I would put a bit of a now vibe to it. Here goes...The Tale of Peter Rabbit Peter and his family were at home under the root and were warm and cozy. His Ma had an errand to run and left the kids to be good. She also told them to not go near Mr McGregor farm. Their father never returned when he went their. His sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy andCotton-Tale, who were very good, went to pick berries. Then there is Peter....Peter Cottontail...He goes hopping down the bunny trail...Then..No he didn't... No not Peter...What do you think? Where did Peter go hopping to? You get to find out. You get to go...hopping..down...the...word...trail!!! Happy Reading!!

Just as I remembered
My childhood was spent with very regular visits to the library, and the Peter Rabbit stories were repeat reads for me. That was 70 years ago, and the illustrations are just as I remembered. I have graduated from the "Children's Selections" to more mature subjects, but still rereading the stories from "the good old days." I am so happy I now have a Kindle Fire that holds a whole library of books in one book. Joyful Iowan

Delightful adventure for adults, maybe a little too scary for kids!
The entire Beatrix Potter collection is a delight, transporting you back into a quaint and magical world of talking pigs, foxes, dogs, sheep, and of course rabbits. Potter’s illustrations are extraordinary, she had a naturalists’ eye - all her animals are drawn beautifully true to life, while also wearing shirts and coats, hats and bonnets, and all the good ones are cuteness itself. But a word of caution: there is a strange thing which you almost never find in children’s literature today - the animals are often in mortal danger of being harmed, killed and eaten by men or other animals! (The tale of Peter Rabbit is milder than most, with only a scary gardener to contend with.) But please enjoy them - they provide a memorable contrast to the tepid Disneyesque tales modern readers are accustomed to.

Children's classic with original illustrations
There's nothing like seeing a book as it was originally done to bring back memories. Love that this is available electronically. Illustrations and text are flawless. No child (or adult who loved these stories as a child) should be without this book!

Delightful
Beatrix Potter is much much more than just “Peter Rabbit”. As an old lady I absolutely enjoyed not only the prose of the 1900’s, but the illustrations of the 1900 English cottages and flower gardens. (Delightful little animals and very recognizable garden flowers.)

Great Stories!
Wonderful collection of stories that kept my three-year-old granddaughter interested. Of course Beatrix Potter is one of the best writers for kids.

Illustrations are stretched vertically.
I had the option to buy this version and one that was slightly more expensive. I chose this version but found the illustrations were stretched vertically. I ended up buying the other version anyway.
