It's a cable
It's a cable and it works. What more is there to say, really? I got my wife a bookshelf type audio system for Christmas. It has an iThing dock on the top of it for charging and playback. First of all putting the iThing on it increases the overall height by six inches or more. Secondly, I have found these docking units with their little plastic inserts to be cheesy and often to crack the connectors inside the docking unit due to the inevitable stress that occurs during docking and undocking. Why not have a cable permanently attached that allows me to dock the unit without adding height or stressing the connector. I can pick up the iThing and choose my playlist or whatever while holding it in my hand rather than poking it while it's sitting in the cheesy plastic insert on the machine. I looked everywhere in retail outlets (Best Buy, Staples, etc.) for this type of cable. Sales folk looked at me with slack-jawed incomprehension as I described what I wanted. Found it on Amazon. Shipping was more than the cost of the cable. It works great and I can't understand why retailers don't carry them.

Works perfectly and w/o the high price
I had purchased aย Speck Products CandyShell Card Case for iPhone 4/4S - 1 Pack - Carrying Case - Retail Packaging - White/Peacock ย for my iphone and with the case on, it would no longer fit in myย iHome iP41 Rotating Alarm Clock for iPod and iPhone (Black) ย The case is near impossible to get off so I wasn't going to wrestle with it every evening when I went to dock it. After looking at many other (expensive!) solutions to my problem I found a cable that wouldn't cost more an arm and a leg. I don't get why other solutions are over $30 and $40 just for a cable or adapter, ridiculous. Even at $9 (including shipping) it was a bit more than I'd prefer to pay, but the most important thing is it works. It fits snug on my dock and in my phone. I was able to play music, wake to music, charge and control the iphone and music player while plugged in. Exact solution to the problem I had.

Better than the last one I had
What can one say about a cable other than it works. They all lack durability though were the wire goes into the end peaces. The will eventually separate showing the wires inside. That was what happend to the last one anyway, but it was a different brand or manufacturer than iTeck . This one seems to be holding out better, so I give it 4 stars for now. They are handy for Alesis IO Docks and Otter covers, The cable keeps you from have to take it in and out of the Otter case to use the IO Dock. Worth the price, trust me its cheaper than buying a new ZAGG every time you peel one off from sliding it in and out of the IO Dock.

My cable experience iPhone4S to Boss Portable speaker
I have bought cables from so many suppliers and it is always a toss up, never found a cable that ever lives for more than a few weeksI am 99% sure that 1 factory in China supplies the entire world ;-)I bought 2 of these and this was the outcomeCable1 - Charges = PASS - Boss Remote: - Volume = PASS - Play / Pause = FAIL - Next / Previous song = FAILCable2 - Charges = PASS - Boss Remote: - Volume = PASS - Play / Pause = PASS - Next / Previous song = PASSWill I return Cable1 (NO) whats the point, I am sure Cable2 will lose functionality soon anywayI would pay GOOD money for a cable that was actually constructed heavy duty (NEVER FOUND ONE!)

Good cable but doesn't fit in cases
I bought this cable after researching reviews on many cables. I bought it expecting that it would fit in my CrownCase iPhone 4s case, but it doesn't. It was a waste of $15 for me. I ended up using a razor blade to trim the plastic and I got it to fit, but it looks ghetto and compromised the cable casing at the seams. I knew it was a risk, so not a big deal, but if others are expecting it to fit in a case on your iPhone, look elsewhere. I need a cable that has the exact same dimensions as the original Apple cable. Still looking. If you just need a good cable and the size of the connector doesn't matter, this is a very good cable. It would work well on any dock that has room for it. It just doesn't fit in an iPhone case.

Be very careful;Give it a 2nd thought
I purchased 2 for a Bose iphone dock. The adapter works fine for attaching iPad and even iPhones w/out the Lightening connection in that it charges as well as playing all audio,However the connection ( female end of adapter ) fits too tightly onto the pins on the Bose, making removal very difficult. That in itself is tolerable nut after using it for about a month upon removal the female end broke off the pins on the dock completely. The $200 Bose dock can only be serviced / repaired by Bose because Bose replacements parts are not available. Bose said repairs would cost about $100 and instead would accept the broken one in trade for a new one for $150.So its the "weakest link" lesson, the Bose is undamaged except for the dock pins but is now kapput. So yeah the extension is convenient for charging/playing iPads and even iPhones as long as you keep the extension connected to the dock and dont try to remove it, so ask yourself if its worth it !

Used it as an extension for my audio doc (standard apple doc with stereo in cable)
I was looking for a way to charge my phone and get audio into the aux of my carHere is my setup:Lighter adapter with female usb to power a standard 30 pin Iphone cabledual male stereo audio cable connected to the AUX in port>those 2 cables go into the standard apple iphone dock (stand) which has a headphone jack in the backI hid that mess in my console and then used the iteck cable (this product) to run from that dock to my iphoneSound and power both workFrom the other reviews I was not sure the stereo would, but it seems fine with this setup

Love this cable
I really like having one of these around. I used it for my iPad and iPhone when using cases on them. However, I have now changed my cases to the LifeProof ones, and the end that plugs in is too big to fit thru the opening of those cases. Worked on all others up till now. So far this probelm is specific to those cases, but other than that, it worked great.

Good durable Cable
Cable is a nice high quality extension cable, perfect for extending my FM radio ipod/iphone connector. Would recommend, cable locks in when attached and is easily removed by pressing in the sides.. works well!

Works great
Allows me to use my iPhone 4S on the dock without removing it from the case, as well as answering texts without removing it from the dock (and thus interrupting the music). Exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Poor quality
Product is cheap and seems very much fragile. Don't expect this cable to last very long. Already, I had it for only 2 weeks and the connection with my IPOD is hardly good and I have to remove and connect it many times before it gets the proper connection. Very much overpriced, because of its poor quality and for what you get. I guess they exploit the fact that this kind of product is hard to find anywhere else.

does exactly what it needs to
It not only extends the ridiculously short apple 30pin to Lightening adapter it also passes audio to my iHome alarm clock, Now i dont need to buy an new $100 alarm clock.Quality seems good the cable is thick but not so thick it would become stiff.just plain works for my over night charging and audio needs.shipping was fast too

Good, not great
Works about 75% of the time when connected to the iPod/iPhone connector in my car. No real rhyme or reason. Rebooting the phone doesn't always help either.Other than that, works as you expect. Charges and lets you play your music (and streaming apps) too.
