Stable, automation strong, feature rich
I was slow to fully integrate the encoder into out automated YouTube broadcasting system because I was not aware of the API until some time later. In my view, you cannot unleash the full power of this little box without using the API for automation. I use this product with a Camera, Video Switch, and PTZ software to fully automate YouTube broadcast for a Christian Faith Based organization. It starts up Sunday morning and programmatically runs three YouTube broadcasts Bach to back via PowerShell. My only minor complaint is the OSD is so good that itโs like giving a kid some candy. I want more. I have not been able to programmatically upload new images for the OSD yet so Iโm restricted to only 4 images. Linda in support is very responsive. There is a phone app as well that I learned about afterwards but I donโt use it much. Features for cost is excellent.

It works well & awesome customer support
I have an interesting IRL/Fitness streaming setup at home. My home gym is in a detached garage which is about 100ft from my router. The only way to get Internet out there was to use the spotty wifi or power line Ethernet adapters. With the Ethernet adapters, I set up one of these encoders to get my video to my streaming PC via RTMP. If you're a little tech savvy, they're fairly easy to setup and they give you a TON of parameters to modify to make sure your video quality is adequate. It just works. Additionally, the tech support is phenomenal. It's a relatively small company and it feels like a very personal focus with helping you get what you need to make sure the product works (I only needed to get firmware updates but they're quick to get me everything)

Exceptional PQ and Reliable
The Uray HDMI encoder is an exceptional device, works as advertised and surpasses not only my expectations, but also surpasses a much more expensive encoder which I also own. My primary purpose is to view my home television programming at any location in my home on any device or away from home via the Internet. Iโve used several types of Slingboxes over the past 15 years providing acceptable PQ and connectivity depending upon network and Internet bandwidth. This device performs a similar function, but by using VLC Media Player โ Network Stream as a receiver / decoder, video can be displayed on any device. For the past 9 months, I have tested this device at 2200 kbps โ H.265 video and 64 kbps โ 44100 audio sampling rate โ AAC. Even though 1080p offers more pixels and a more resolute image that 720p, I have decided to use 720p to reduce bandwidth still providing a very good image even on larger screens such as a 55โ. This device does not provide remote control capabilities for selecting source feeds, but devices are available such as the Harmony Hub or Keene Anywhere IR. Many other means exist to provide distant โremote controlโ as well. It could also be used to distribute any other HDMI material such as output from a laptop or output from a security camera system. I am using a U9 HDMI Splitter to send the source signal to my TV and to the encoder. If you decide to use WAN capabilities, like other devices, it will require port forwarding through your router. I recommend choosing a port other than the default for better security. Also, change the password and either reserve an IP on your router or use a static IP on the device. I recently needed a firmware upgrade, contacted the manufacturerโs representative and received the file within 2 days. I have been so impressed that I bought another.

worked right out of the box, H.265 encoded HDMI into a decoder and to monitor
This encoder has many features but I mainly wanted to compress HDMI 1080p onto ethernet so that a decoder far away could display on local monitor. Setup was fairly simple so long as you follow the directions; it's helpful to have a rudimentary understanding of what IP addresses are and what compression and bitrates are all about. I ran a test using my laptop's 4K HDMI output and after configuring the decoder with the correct stream address (decoder is similar brand with similar firmware) I got my live desktop image across perfectly. Some small amount of image lag which is expected.

Works well but one quirt
The product works as advertised. I do have an issue that happens roughly 30% of the time. When the source is turned on, the audio doesnโt come through. The solution is to turn off the source and turn it on again. Will give it 5 starts if this issue did not happen.

Simple remote video solution!
If you want to simply send an HDMI video signal to a remote location on your home network or somewhere else on the internet, then this is the item to get! Not only can this encoder output FOUR different streams (which you can configure with various quality and bandwidth requirements), you can even configure some of the ports to encode using H.265 which offers the same video quality as the older H.264 encoding, but it needs only half the bandwidth! Sound quality is also excellent (audio can be set to 48k) Then to display the video, you can either: 1) Run a VLC app at a remote location by configuring VLC to the encoders IP and port numbers. 2) Get a "decoder" (which I believe this company also sells), so instead of using the VLC video player app, you can connect any HDMI display to the decoder to view the video. I run this encoder running 24/7 for weeks and I have not had to reboot it at all and it runs super cool. You do need to have a little technical knowledge to configure this item, but once it's configured, it just runs!

5 star product, 5 star service!
Fantastic product, works perfectly for streaming. Because Iโm rather technologically inept, I initially struggled with formatting the encoder to work with my streaming set up. However, Linda and the team at URay were extremely helpful. I had a call with one of the engineers and used team viewer for them to assist me. After this call everything was working perfectly as intended.
