One word: AWESOME
I've had this for about 6 or 7 months now and absolutely love it. It's an easy install, easy set-up and easy use. It adds a very cool "techie" appeal whereever you put it and it works like a dream.

DO NOT BUY THIS LOCK
This is the second same lock I bought due to the odd hole I drilled on my door. First one broken less than year and second one broken less than four month. The company do not answer the phone at all and do not reply email as well. I end up with two broken locks and hole on my door plus the money through in the toilet.

Good Concept, Poor Execution
I bought one of these several years ago. Thought the idea of having one would be so cool, and for a while in the beginning it was. Setup and installation wasn't too bad, maybe about 30 minutes. Everything worked great in the beginning. Then after maybe about two months or so, it started short-circuiting. The finger print reader wouldn't stay on long enough to read my input. And the batteries would die out way too soon. The ultimate problem with things powered by batteries is that eventually and inevitably they'll die out, so you WILL have moments where you'll be caught in a bind. However, for me, I was caught in such incidences way too many times. So I had to always keep the spare in my wallet. So then what's even the point of having one of these? It finally went dead for good about a year of functioning on and off.Now after several years with the good ol' lock and key, I'm in another situation where I'll actually need a numeric key lock, so I bought a Schlage FE595 CAM 619 ACC Camelot Keypad Entry with Flex-Lock and Accent Levers, Satin Nickel. Let's hope this one will be better.

5+ years and virtually no issues!
I did not purchase this through amazon however I have this exact model. At my old apartment, this was on my front door for over 2 years and worked very well. It was nice to be able to buzz people in with the IR remote when I didn't feel like getting off the couch :)At my new home, I use this on my Server Closet. The first time I ever had an issue with it was last week when the mechanism to unlock from inside stopped turned. I removed the batteries to open her up for an inspection. Lo and behold, it started working again. I am actually shocked that this thing worked almost perfectly for over 5 years. Considering the other reviews, It looks like I am the lucky one. Would definitely look at purchasing another (new and improved model) should this one take a final dump.

Works Like A Champ
I have had two of these installed for quite a while now and neither has given me any problems. Both are still using the original batteries. Good quality materials and craftsmanship.

A Fundamentally Defective Product
Multiple reviewers have said that this lock can be opened with a paperclip. Unfortunately, this is true. It really can be opened as such. Furthermore, opening it with a paperclip is quicker and easier than opening most conventional locks with a key.I returned the item for a refund.

It's nice WHEN it works...
I bought 4 about 2 years ago. 1 stopped working a few months after I installed it. 1 stopped and worked again the next day. 1 seems to be on it's last leg. 1 is OK. I didn't have much luck getting BIOLOCK to support their product when I called them about the problems I was having. I will not be buying another one from them. AMEX refunded my money on the broken one. I'm now out of warrantee with them too, so if and when the others break, I'm SOL.Although the fingerprint lock concept is nice, because of the moving mechanisms, it increases your chances of parts breaking. I have physical latches on every door except for 1. I have this lock on it. It worry everytime I use this lock/door 'cause of the poor history of the other 3. If it fails when I'm outside the house, I gotta literally break down a door to get back in. I'm in the process of switching, at least this one, over to a manual mechanical combo lock. Good ones run $350-$400 a piece, so I'll have to take my time doing this.
