The heat output of this stove is fantastic. I heat a 1900 sq. ft. house with this stove. The only drawbacks i see with it is that if you don't open the door extremely slow you will pull a vacuum in the fire box and you will get smoke coming out of the stove through the door opening and into the house. It is also very cumbersome to keep the ash from building up around the dog box that feeds fresh air into the fire box area where the logs are burning. The only way i see to get a good flow of air into the fire box when the dog box get ash in or around it is to crack the door open and let the air in via the front glass door. The air intake control is a slide lever which has much to be desired. Pushing it in (open) or pulling the lever out (closed) is opposite of the way normal people think so that will take some getting used to and doesn't really work all that great. on the plus side, it holds larger sized logs and has a huge combustion chamber that is double the size of most of the other small wood burners out there on the market. With a few small tweaks from the manufacturer, this could be a 5 star top rated monster of a wood stove.
